One Hundred Thousand Welcomes

Located in a quiet neighborhood three minutes from Waldport Oregon with exceptional ocean views in a private wooded setting. Three blocks from beach access with miles and miles to explore. There is a trail below the house that leads to a hidden lake which is a great walk.
One Hundred Thousand Welcomes is the perfect home base for discovering the central Oregon coast.
To the south is the charming village of Yachats and beautiful rocky coastline of Cape Perpetua and all the breathtaking views in between.
To the north is Seal Rock, Newport and Depoe Bay, offering interesting and fun activities for everyone. From whale watching and fishing, surfing and kayaking, tide pooling to art galleries. Not to mention lots of eclectic eateries. The list can go on and on. You are in a perfect location to experience it all.
Welcome to the central Oregon coast. Welcome to our communities but, most importantly, welcome to our home. One Hundred thousand of them! “Céad Míle Fáilte.”

A little piece of heaven

This was our second time staying at 100 Thousand Welcomes and we were very happy both times. This time we stayed for 6 nights and at the end we didn’t want to go home. In our opinion this is the perfect beach house, especially when traveling with our dog. It’s very comfortable and the decorations are interesting. We enjoyed the hot tub out under the pines with a view of the ocean. Waldport is such a nice quiet destination. It was so peaceful! A couple of notes about the property. The VRBO listing says you have to bring TP, paper towels and coffee filters but all of these were provided to us. Each of the bathrooms has 2 TP rolls, the kitchen had one roll of paper towels and there were a bunch of coffee filters (I’m assuming left by other guests). They have a regular coffee maker, not a Keurig, which was fine with us. One thing that could be improved is their pots and pans. They were all Teflon and scratched up pretty badly. We ended up buying a stainless pot to use while we were there and we left it for other guests to use in the future. Luckily we brought two of our main pots and pans from home so we were good to go after that (we only cook with stainless or cast iron). It was nice having access to the washer and dryer. They have a few board games and a smart TV. After learning that they won’t be a pet friendly property any longer, we will likely have to find a different place to stay when we visit Waldport. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property.

This is a great property with wonderful views and a less than 10 minute walk to the beach. Hot tub was bonus. Sunsets were immaculate. We stayed with our two dogs and had a wonderful vacation. Thank you so much for letting us use this wonderful property. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Cozy cousin weekend

We had a wonderful stay at sandpiper village. The house was cute, clean and cozy. There were lots of little thoughtful touches and the big windows gave a beautiful view to the ocean. The short walk down to the beach was easy! Sitting in the hot tub and looking out at the ocean was our favorite part! We would definitely come back !

We had a great stay at this cozy and fun house. Enjoyed the hot tub, dvds and dog friendly atmosphere. Very quiet location. Nice and peaceful. One thing that can be changed is the overhanging bushes near the driveway. It made it really hard for us with our Sprinter Van.

Truly where the forest meets the sea!

From NorCal, we were looking to escape the heat for a week. The view is phenomenal, both from inside and outside the home. We were fortunate to have sunny skies and mid to high 60 degree weather. The property is surrounded by groomed foliage, giving it a private feel, even though there are surrounding neighbors. We were a party of 4 adults with 2 small dogs, and we did not feel closed in by any means. The living area / sun room is spacious. The rooms are on the smaller side, but aside from sleeping, not much time was spent there. Very clean and well-stocked, it has everything one may need. The walk to the beach is a pleasant 5-7 min through a very quiet neighborhood. Lots of good eateries locally and in surrounding towns. Of note: It is incredibly pet friendly! There are extra leashes, towels, and bowls for your pet’s use. The side patio/garden is especially convenient for letting them out. We unintentionally left behind our elevated pet bed, but hopefully the next family with their beloved furry friend find it useful. Highly recommend and hope to return someday!

Our family and dogs really enjoyed our stay at the beach. Even though it rained most days, the house was comfortable and the huge windows still allowed us to watch the ocean. We really appreciated being able to bring ours dogs, they loved it and we loved being able to run them on the beach. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. 🥰
