Walker Hotel with Pool

"Our room had no room-darkening/privacy window shades, but we were cheerfully given another room when we discovered the problem. The hotel seems to have been updated somewhat recently, but there are many minor things that are worn or not working. For example. the shower has shampoo and body wash dispensers, but they are non-functional. Such items are supplied, but in another room. The breakfast is OK but not great. Overall, I would rate this hotel at less than 3 stars. It had very high ratings, that I think are overly optimistic. I booked because of the relatively low price and high ratings, but believe that the old adage is true - you get what you pay for. It is not bad, just not 3-stars."

"Where do I begin? The front desk - very nice- the bartenders- great- the room service (when they had enough staff to order) great- the guy who had to jimmy rig the hotel door to the pool - also great- door to pool was propped open with a trash can - the breakfast I paid for wasn’t an option- Buffett wasn’t available one of the days, the service in the restaurant was less than sub par. We will never stay at this property again. Bathrooms are so tiny, the rooms are dated…this place needs a facelift and more employees. Disappointed for sure! The valet guys were the amazing! "

"Happy to say great overnight stay. Easy access to downtown meeting. Waking up to a great breakfast was like icing on the cake yummy. "
