“Moonshine River” is located on the North Fork of the New River in Warrensville, NC.
Moonshine River is a custom-built, upscale mountain-modern river front home with 4 BRs and 3 BAs that can accommodate up to 8 guests. This quiet mountain/river community is about 15 minutes from West Jefferson, 10 minutes from Lansing, and approx. 10-25 minutes from Christmas tree farms, Wineries, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails, shopping, dining, and etc. Thoughtfully designed, our cabin has been furnished, outfitted, and equipped to be the ideal family-friendly mountain vacation destination. Amenities include River Front, Hot Tub, Pool Table, Suffle Board, Fire Pit, 4 Roku TVs, Central Heat and AC, High-Speed WiFi Internet, a Gas Fireplace, and so much more. This 1-acre property has access into the North Fork of the New River, an idyllic getaway where guests can bring their provisions and never have to leave.

Inside: As you enter, you're greeted with an open floor plan. The living room boasts comfortable seating, seasonal gas fireplace, Roku TV with streaming apps, and doors that will lead to the outside deck. Enjoy watching your favorite movie on the Roku TV (using your login info) and keep warm by the gas fireplace available to use from October 1 to April 1.
The beautiful and spacious fully stocked kitchen has the modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, griddle, Keurig maker, regular coffee maker, fridge, electric oven, cookware, dinnerware, large granite countertop island and almost everything needed to prepare a meal. The dining area can accommodate up to 8 guests and there is additional seating at the kitchen island. Feeling hungry? You can cook up your favorite steaks using one of three grills. We offer a regular gas grill, a Blackstone griddle and a charcoal grill (by the river).
There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor. Both bedrooms offer a queen size bed and one bedroom has a Roku TV. There is a full bathroom across the hall from the bedrooms.
Upper Floor: You'll find the private master suite with king size bed with En Suite full bathroom with tub/shower combo on the upper level. The master bedroom also has a Roku TV and a leather sectional for a nice sitting area.
Lower Level: The entire family will enjoy spending time in our game room with a pool table, Shuffle Board, Roku TV, arcade game with Ms. Pacman, Donkey Kong and many other retro video games. There is also a wine cooler and sink along with a full size washer and dryer for your convenience along with a gas burning fireplace.
The 4th bedroom is located on the lower level with a king size bed. There is also a full bathroom with shower just outside in the hallway. You can exit through the mud room to the outside deck with 2 comfy swings, additional seating, and to the river.
Outside: There are plenty of things to do outside. After a long day of playing in the river, hiking or fishing, relax and sooth yourself in our amazing hot tub! There is a gas fire pit located on the main deck to enjoy. There is also a wood buring fire pit as well (wood not provided). Start creating memories and book today! ***A North Carolina fishing license is required for anyone over the age of 16 and a stamp is required for trout. Licenses can be purchased online from the Wildlife Resources Commission or from a number of fishing and general stores in Ashe County.
**Important Notes:
Tire chains and 4WD/AWD may be necessary during the winter months.
The owners may use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
There is no land-line phone in our cabins. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
