Oakland Beach, home to the world Famous Iggy's Clam boardwalk famous for their Clam cakes and chowder (pronounced Chowdah) is centrally located in Rhode Island. 20 minutes from downtown Providence and 45 minutes from Newport, this is the ideal, affordable but stylish getaway spot for you to enjoy your travel to Rhode Island. Just steps from Fairwinds Marina, watch the ships come in or dock your boat here while you stay with us.

The OB cottage by the sea, Mudroom, eat in kitchen, small TV area in the living room, and updated bathroom. It’s a cute cottage but there is storage everywhere and designed for a nice, comfortable stay

Unfortunately the property had not been surface cleaned prior to our arrival. In addition, the interior was in poor condition as the window blinds were broken, and mold was on the showerhead. We left the next day and checked into a hotel. Although the renter responded to our complaint, he did not respond to our request for a partial refund.

We enjoyed the space.The couch in front of the tv is uncomfortable. Otherwise we were very pleased. The owners installed a new modem, proactively which we appreciated.The bed is very comfortable.

Interior is in need of a paint job and deep cleaning.No comfortable seating inside - the couch needs to be replaced and is not big enough for an adult to sleep on. The chairs outside were more comfortable than the one inside. There is nowhere to put your clothes except a few hooks on the wall - no dresser at all. Drip coffee maker was dirty and should be replaced. Shower stall has a stain on the floor.

Stay with dogs

This was a great place to stay for two people and our dogs. Came for a dog show and had a nice stay. Short walk to ocean and boardwalk with restaurants. Ideal for us.

Great Long Weekend

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect for two people. Great location. There is a lot to do in the area. The property manager was fantastic. He had great communication. Look forward to staying here another time.

Underwhelming

We were a group of 3 adults looking for a place to stay for four nights while we were visiting relatives in Warwick. We frequently travel together in the US and abroad and are familiar with staying in vacation rentals. The upside to this property was its location. If you were renting this property with the express purpose of just leaving you luggage and sightseeing, this might be the property for you, especially if you needed a place for only 2 people. The cons to this property were that it was dingy and the pictures were brighter than reality. The property needed a more thorough cleaning. The floors were dirty and there were cobwebs in the corners. Even though the bathroom was advertised as updated, that was a bit of a stretch. The shower was small and dingy. The bedroom was simple and adequate, but had a water stain on the ceiling in the corner. The small (tiny) living space with the TV had an extra “bed” which really was small thin cot not suitable for an adult. The pad was thin and you could feel the wires and bars underneath. We really wanted to like this place, but in the long run it needed a cleaning and would not have been comfortable for the 3 of us to stay for 4 nights. We ended up staying at this property for 30 minutes and then collectively decided to find other lodging. In all of our travels, this was the first time that we have ever turned around and left. We attempted to contact the property owners about our concerns but never received a reply.

Small but adequate

This is a very small cottage and would not recommend for more than two people. Kitchen supplies were adequate. Sufficient linens and towels. We stayed in the winter and there was no snow shovel nor ice melt and we had several snowstorms during our stay. The location is good as there are several good restaurants nearby. There are several state and local parks nearby with excellent walking paths.

If youre looking for a small quiet private area in walking distance of the beach this is definitely the place to stay. The owner is very nice and responsive and it was a cozy space to stay in for a few days.

Great little place for two

Great for people who want to be on the go. Short walk to the beach and 3 restaurants, nice park . Quiet neighborhood but yet close to grocery store and main roads that take you to anywhere else in the state. The owners are easy to get in touch with and very nice and helpfull. No tv in bedroom and living room is very small so not the place if you want to stay in and do tv time but our stay was about visiting so definitely would go back there ! Thanks
