"Arrived late (10.30pm) to find car park signage poor, wasnt clear where or how to access reception and ended up going through a rear entrance and walking through the hotel to reception. Receptionist was very helpful friendly and explained the usual nice and quickly. Room seemed fine, shower was great - powerful and hot water a plenty. Wifi worked well and there was space to set the laptop up to work on emails etc. Table had a glass top and previous guests had left food deposits under the glass... The walk to breakfast showed a hotel with good bones that needed some tlc and a fresh lick of paint, the staff though, all fantastic and very friendly. Breakfast was a mix of continental and cooked and everything I ate and drank was very nice and fresh."

"A nice hotel with friendly staff. The spa facilities were good but it is a shame that they do noy have a jacuzzi. Breakfast was good but fruit lacked choice and the fried stuff was far too greasy!"

"Beautiful stay at this hotel. Lovely character and it gives a great feel for the Shakespeare era with old wooden beams and minutes walk from the RSC. Our room was lovely and clean with great coffee pods! Bfast was absolutely delicious and it was definitely worth having. Plenty of options and the full English was wonderful. Great hotel to stay in if you’re visiting the theatre! But also the pub downstairs is stunning to have a few drinks and relax. Staff are super lovely and accommodating throughout the visit. Couldn’t fault it one bit. Thank you for making our stay memorable. "

"Gym / Spa not included. Bed was lumpy. Lounge music at dinner was too loud and had adverts. No PAT testing undertaken on any appliances in room, some emergency lights were requiring servicing. Dinner was ok - steak swimming in blood, broccoli had salt added, and skin on fries were no skin on as well as solid overly salted. "
