This place was fully renovated by a local architect, maintaining its vintage charm with an original exposed brick wall and vintage metal cabinets. It also features contemporary finishes, including large white moldings and fresh walls and floors.

The 600-sqft. English basement apartment has four windows and two glass doors. The ceiling is high above the doors and does not have an internal staircase that lead upstairs. It is a complete separate place. Self-check-in is facilitated with smart keypads and a personalized code.

Ideal for a solo traveler, two adults, or a couple with children, the studio includes a queen bed and a sofa that converts between a twin and full bed.

The fully equipped kitchen has a food disposal, stainless steel gas stove, stainless steel tub dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave.

Furniture is strategically arranged to delineate different areas of the home. The office nook works well especially for those who need to work remotely.

The living area features a sofa futon with a large coffee table, providing access to streaming apps on the TV. An industrial modern style bookcase separates the living area from the Queen-sized bed, accompanied by a wardrobe. The bathroom offers a rainfall shower.

The dining area, with a banquette seating four, can be used for family meals. Next to it is a coffee station for enjoying coffee and tea.

Disclaimer: This is an English basement in a row home located in an urban neighborhood, so you may hear neighbors and footsteps from above. If you’re a light sleeper or need complete quiet to rest well, this may not be the best fit.

The English basement is a totally separate space from upstairs. Guests would enjoy the entire studio themselves.
