Eeek interesting

Was *cat called by the neighborhood neighbors* while entering the house. Was not given the entry code till after arriving at the house. Parking is on the street if you can find parking, you’ll need parking pass! can’t touch the thermostat at all!! We were hot the entire time during the stay! Never felt uncomfortable in a Vrbo stay! Thank god it was a one night stay.

Bamboozled/ deceived

I wanted to share my extremely disappointing experience at your property. The level of cleanliness and maintenance was far below acceptable standards, making our stay unpleasant and frustrating. First, the linens were visibly dirty. While I shook them off before capturing a photo, I’ll send you a picture of the soiled cover. If these were supposedly "brand new," then someone must have used them beforehand because I found hair on the sheets. I always inspect beds before lying down, and this was unacceptable. Beyond that, the property itself was poorly maintained. When I attempted to open the sliding door near the back door, it completely fell on me—this is a serious safety hazard. Additionally, we arrived, dropped off our bags, and didn’t return until after 9 PM, meaning the bugs we found inside were already present. My daughter even killed a bug in the other bedroom, and I discovered multiple small green bugs in the bathroom, including one inside the shower and another near the exposed window, which offers no privacy. To ensure accuracy, I took a complete video of how I left the house for my records. This experience, as a first-time VRBO renter, was beyond disappointing. Your ratings are consistently poor, and the gap in reviews suggests that negative ones may have been removed. Don’t book bottom line!

Awesome home away from home

First impression was very clean and who ever the cleaning team is are great , also place was spacious and cozy. I loved the bedroom with the hammack swing and words of aspiration on the wall and set up in room where we could also capture pictures of our moments in this beautiful home and i cant wait to vidit dc again in the bear future and book this place again.

Not acceptable

First, the location was a bit sketchy, very near housing projects. The owner was nice and stopped by with water. The place was not very clean, rug in loving room was filthy, some mold in upstairs bathroom. Then on Friday when we took the garbage out there were mouse droppings behind the cans. There was only 1 shower door which was made of heavy glass. We had to slide it back and forth to get into and out of shower and it would come off the track when we did. Very dangerous. Also, wallpaper was peeling upstairs bedroom and one of the beds was so old the couple sleeping there could feel the springs. I have pictures of the mouse droppings and tbe single glass shower door. .

Not as good as they say

The rental experience was disappointing for several reasons. Firstly, the listing's mention of "street and alley parking" was misleading, as advertising "free parking" implied designated parking for the rental, which was not the case. The neighborhood was noisy, with the house situated near a busy city street, resulting in constant disturbance, especially at night. The cleanliness was subpar, with unswept stairs, leftover items from previous renters, and an unpleasant smoke odor, either from previous occupants or neighbors. The sleeping arrangements were inadequate; although the house was advertised to sleep seven, using the sofa bed and trundle required inconveniently moving and rearranging furniture. Additionally, the house was unbearably hot during our summertime visit, particularly upstairs, and adjusting the thermostat and closing vents did not alleviate the discomfort, leading to a terrible night's sleep. Privacy was also an issue, as the upstairs bathroom had a window in the shower, exposing users to passersby in the alley, which could easily be fixed with proper window coverings. Due to these issues, we left after one night of a four-night stay. While I don't expect a refund, I want to warn others that this rental was uncomfortable and unenjoyable. Save your money and book a hotel instead.
