  • Location, Location, Location! 2 blocks from Union Station, metro, and just 3 blocks to the Capitol & National Mall. Close-in Capitol Hill neighborhood with restaurants, museums, coffee shops, bars, Whole Foods, Giant supermarket, H St streetcar line and tourist attractions a few steps away. Property is a charming newly furnished one bedroom English basement with a queen-size bed in the BR; queen-size sleep sofa in the living room, dining area with table and 4 chairs; TV with dvd player, & wifi. Full disclosure: the WIFI is ok, but may not be strong enough to support streaming. Currently there is no cable TV but there is a DVD player.
    Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, 4-slice toaster, coffee-maker, wine opener & many glasses.
    Bathroom, hair-dryer, fully air conditioned, stocked with essentials for your comfort.
    1 Parking pass provided for street parking.

    There are narrow stairs down into apartment, please be careful with heavy luggage or mobility issues. Owner lives in unit above. Other things to note-hot water heater cannot support long showers for 4 people. Kindly keep showers moderate in length if there are 4 of you.

Location was easy walk to Union Station, various Capitol buildings, and excellent restaurants. Jonathon was very helpful with restaurant recs, and with any questions we had. We'd absolutely stay here again!

The entire experience here has been excellent, from the cleanliness of the unit to the responsiveness and courtesy shown by our host. The kitchen is particularly well appointed. If/when we return to DC, this will be our first choice for a place to stay.

The location is great for sightseeing. The neighborhood is safe and the home secured. We are a senior couple who stayed for 4 nights. We don’t have mobility issues, if you do, this is not the best place for you. We were very comfortable and would stay there again.

Easy check in/out. Quick responses, well stocked with all the basics. Perfect location, such a nice neighborhood, we always felt safe. Steps are as described, we are in our 60s and faired just fine.

Fabulous stay!

Our family of 3 really enjoyed this fabulously-located unit. It was steps to Union Station, Capitol Hill, and great restaurants. Check in and check out was smooth, communication excellent. I would definitely stay there again!

Great Stay in DC

The location is less than a mile from the capital and very cozy. Eric and Jonathan were very accomdating and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are wanting to explore Capital Hill.

The host was very responsive to each question I had about the property, both before arrival and during my stay. I wasn’t prepared for how tricky the steps were to descend into the basement apartment, and the 4 steps from the property to the sidewalk had no hand rail. It’s something I have to rely on.

Great spot close to downtown DC

This was a great place to stay for a visit to DC! Johnathan, the host, was very friendly and helpful.The Metro is a short 5 minute walk, there is a wonderful coffee shop/grocery store directly across the street, and several restaurants nearby. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely and very walkable at all hours.Much better than staying at a hotel outside of town and commuting into the city!

Convenient location for visiting all the DC sites. Clean, well stocked, and a great bed. Easy walking to restaurants and a neighborhood grocery store. Great host and accurate listing. Everything we needed.

Great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, super close to any and all things we needed, and was nice and quiet. Parking is a little funky. I recommend looking up the DC parking zones so that you have an understanding of how the parking pass works. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location

This property was about a 7 minute walk to Union Station as well as a grocery store. It was very clean and exactly what we needed for our DC sightseeing vacation!
