The worst! Poor Service and Hidden Fees

I stayed at this hotel with my daughter for two nights while she prepared for an internship at Georgetown. Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel experiences we've ever had.
Power Outages and No Support
The power went out on our first night, leaving us without air conditioning in 90-degree heat. We were told it was a city issue, and we understand that’s not the hotel's fault, the staff showed zero empathy or effort to help. The desk clerk simply said "it was hot for us too" with no apology or attempt to make the situation better. When I mentioned we booked through Expedia, he dismissed us, saying we'd need to handle everything through the third party.
Noise Issues and Inadequate Response
Our second night was ruined by an extremely loud party next door that lasted until 5:30 AM. Despite calling the front desk three times, nothing was done to address the situation. The desk clerk seemed annoyed that I called and claimed they "told them" to quiet down, but the party continued for over 2.5 hours with screaming and what sounded like multiple people in the room.
Hidden "Amenity" Fees
The most frustrating discovery was a $35/night "amenity fee" that is in addition to the room charges we already paid and I guess covers basic hotel services like air conditioning, hot water, and internet - things that should be included in any hotel room. This feels particularly predatory when b
