「Hamish and Susie were great hosts. Hamish met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the house. We enjoyed the goodies in the welcome basket. The shortbread’s were delicious ( I believe they were homemade). We enjoyed our 3 night stay, the cottage was what we had hoped it would be. The gardens and grounds were so lovely and peaceful. Hamish gave us excellent advice getting to London by train. Our son and grandson enjoyed exploring Windsor Great Park, they saw a lot of wildlife. An awesome...

「We were expecting to stay in a 1 bedroom cottage not a room There was no kitchen just a cupboard with a sink and a microwave so no room to be able to cook There was no bed as such just a futon because the room was so small we had to put it together and collapse it every day I was glad to come home」

「Although we enjoyed our stay at the Dairy it should not be advertised as 4 guests in one bedroom there is only one double bed and this was disappointing. The traffic was very noisy and the road was too dangerous for walking. 」

「Exactly as described. A lovely English cottage in rural surroundings, but close to all the amenities of Hurstpierpoint and a short drive from Brighton. Comfortable living and dining rooms, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Loved the crisp white linen sheets, the huge bath towels and the nice hot showers. Toys and books for our 4 year old grandson, lovely artwork on the walls, we felt totally at home and loved staying here. We felt as though the hosts really cared about us and hadn’t skimped...

「We spent a lovely few days at Lychgate Cottage. We did find it a bit difficult to locate the property once in the village and didn’t have a telephone number to contact the owners or Vrbo. The cottage was very cosy and equipped with everything we could want and more. We were supplied with lots of essentials on arrival (ie tea, coffee, bread , milk etc) and more. Anthony and Marilyn welcomed us on arrival and Marilyn showed us around the cottage. Henfield is a small village only about 5 minutes...

「We had a wonderful week in the Plough Shed. The location is wonderful for local attractions and amazing walks. The Octagonal Walks booklet which you can purchase at the local cafe/shop offers a variety of well documented walks. The only thing we found disappointing was the amount of dog hair in the cottage, a good vacuum cleaner would have helped.」
