Great location for a family getaway. House was well-equipped and comfortable. Perfect location on a quiet lake. We enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, and paddle boat. Definitely would stay here again!

Relaxing stay

We can after heavy storms, so we didn’t get to use the beach much. The home was clean and had everything you need. Beautiful view of the lake from most rooms in the house.

Great Lake Weekend Spot

Great house, lots of beds, right on water! Perfect spot to hang with a big group of people for a lake weekend. House is clean, well-stocked and the outside area is the highlight! Would definitely stay again. The host is really responsive and helpful as well.

Heron House Hideaway

Well designed house for a large group with 4 bathrooms and a large kitchen and dining table. Lots of sun and great views of the lake. House was in great condition, very clean, comfortable beds. Definitely worth a visit.

Clean and nice place to stay

The owner was always very helpful and quick to answer any questions! The house was clean and very nice! Having the kayaks and paddle boat was so wonderful and the small sand beach worked well for our family!

Weekend trip

While my friends and I enjoyed our stay, there were 20+ flies that were in the house at all times (we did not leave any doors/windows open).

Great mini family vacation get-away

We had an amazing stay on Waldron Lake! The accommodations were wonderful! Myron was quick to respond with great insight. The house was stocked with spices, condiments, toilet paper, baggies, aluminum foil, etc. I've never stayed anywhere with 4 kayaks for renters to use. We were paddling all over the connecting lakes. The lakes were quiet and calm and hardly anyone was around. Only complaint was there a lot of flies (so get those fly swatters ready)! And we forgot to read the special instructions for the coffee pot the first morning (took a little longer to warm up). We would highly recommend the house and chain of lakes.

Better for families without loud kids

House is nice and updated and Myron the owner was accommodating and attentive. The house was clean but had a major problem with flies. Also be forewarned that at this house you need to be silent after 9PM which is not easy to hang by the lake with a fire and not talk. Neighbors weren’t too happy with all of the renters. Also if you rent a pontoon boat, you can not go over 10MPH after 5 PM. This didn’t ruin our trip but I would have liked to know this information before booking the house.

Great family vacation

We were looking for a summer family vacation (8 adults, 6 children under 6) and found Myron's lake house. It was the perfect size house for what we needed (5 bedrooms, 4 baths). Plenty of room for all of us. Loved the private sand beach, was perfect for the kids to play and swim out. 4 kayaks were used, along with the swim platform. Paddleboat was also available. Grill and firepit were also used multiple times during the stay. Communication was prompt and very friendly. As previously stated in other reviews, wifi was not the best, so working from home would not be easy, however, it wasn't needed as we were outside most of the time enjoying each other's company. Would highly recommend!

Amazing Home

This was the perfect home for our family of 16. It never felt too crowded. It is clean and modern and tastefully decorated. The kids loved the two triple bunk beds on the second floor. The air conditioning worked great and there was plenty of hot water. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, it was great to have a master bedroom/bath on the first floor for the old folks (me and the wife) and a toilet in the laundry room. The kitchen is well stocked for meals with everything you need. There is a nice long kitchen table with chairs and benches, and six bar stools at the counter. We were able to fit everyone in the kitchen for dinner. The house is well stocked with beach and shower towels. The lake was great for swimming as it had a mostly sandy bottom, the water was warm, mostly clear and is free of seaweed. There's the typical knuckleheads on the jet ski's during the late morning and afternoon. Otherwise it's a mostly quiet lake, very peaceful in the evening. There is a small sandy beach in front so it was easy to keep an eye on the kids. It's not too deep, at least where we were, waist high just past the pier so I don't recommend jumping off it. The platform was great, It's about 7 feet deep out there so you don't want to dive. The ladder is extremely slippery so be careful. There is a fire pit in front and plenty of chairs to sit around. The host provides firewood which was an added bonus. You might want to bring your own ax like I always do. The one provided is a beast and would be difficult to cut up kindling. The house has a pellet grill, which if you want to smoke food great, but if you want to cook up some burgers or steaks it's not ideal. It takes forever to heat up to even 400 degrees. We all agreed we wanted to come back. Unfortunately it's already booked for next year. I'm thankful for the opportunity to stay here, hopefully we can come back some day.

Great multi family lake vacation

This home was perfect for our 3 grown children, their spouses and our 5 grands. The kids ranged from 11 to 1. We stayed for a week the end of June. They loved the beach. The 4 kayaks were a bonus. We rented a pontoon and the dock was in very good shape. The location on the lake was excellent. The owner told us about a fun sandbar and communicated quickly when we had questions. Everyone enjoyed the swim platform and the shallow area to play in. We are looking forward to returning.

Beautiful Place

The best place to host advanced thanksgiving/birthday party for family. Myron was really accommodating and answered my questions before we booked this property. We want to come back in summer to try some water activities. The only thing is that the internet was really slow, but that does not stop us from wanting to come back to this property.

Mom’s 90th Birthday

We stayed at the property along with our adult sons and wife and baby. It fit everyone very well. We had a wonderful time staying here and it is close to where my Mother lives. We found the house well equipped and enjoyed the Traeger grill! The weather wasn’t cooperative but there was a paddle boat and kayaks we would have enjoyed.

What an amazing get away in a beautiful setting and a gorgeous house to compliment it all! The listing doesn’t do this place justice, it definitely exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved the layout of the house, how well kept and clean it was and the lake front to go along with the Picture perfect location . We’ll definitely be back

Big family Easter getaway

My extended family and I stayed in this house for a long weekend over Easter. It was clean, and check in was easy. The owner was super responsive and friendly. The house has a great set up for a large group with a gaggle of kids - the bunk room was a big hit. It was also nice that 3 of the bedrooms had king beds for all the adult couples. We spent a lot of time kayaking and paddle boating on the river, particularly to watch the sunset. The WiFi connection is not strong, so I would not plan to work remotely or stream here. Beautiful house! I’d definitely go back.

Great Lake Escape

Went here for 2 nights with 8 kids under the age of 9 and 6 adults between 3 families. The place was clean and spacious so the parents had their own bedrooms away from the kids. The kitchen was large and we never felt crowded. The lake was perfect for our kids. It's sand and shallow so the kids could walk out into the water. We also used a complimentary paddleboat to check out the turtles that are in the channel. Another person took out the small fishing boat with the trolling motor which was a nice tough. We fished off the dock and caught 6 fish in 2 days. We also had a bon fire one night. The lake is beautiful with a great sunset. The area is quiet. It was the perfect getaway. Only con was that the internet is VERY slow so just be aware of that when you go. We could 100% see ourselves staying here again.

Grandma’s birthday

We got the whole family together to celebrate grandmas 80th birthday. It was perfect. Lots of room for playing games and eating good food! The yard was nice and walking around the neighborhood was great for birdwatching. I saw multiple woodpeckers, a loon on the lake and even saw a bald eagle fly over. Definitely would love to come in the summer to also enjoy the lake. The host was very helpful and available to answer any questions we had
