Hello Jodi, Thank you for your review of the Gott Farm. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and that you took pleasure in the lake, and in the village. Regarding your concerns, we are always ready to learn from our guests and we take your comments seriously. Our cleaning crew has changed one of their staff members since your visit and we hope that your experience of finding the house "not especially clean" will not be repeated. Also, we wonder why, in accordance with the lease, you did not contact us immediately to let us know that the house was not satisfactorily clean. We would have sent the crew back immediately to rectify any problem. We have reached out to you to find out more details of what you were unsatisfied with, and look forward to hearing from you. As for the porta potti in the Camp, the use of this is limited to guests staying overnight in the building. We had to make this decision because on too many occasions we have had guests congregate in the camp, and leave the porta potti not only full, but overflowing. It is unsafe, unsanitary, difficult and offensive to clean up, and very hard on our staff. Thus, the limited use restriction. Thank you for bringing to our attention your confusion over the descriptions of the Camp and the Studio. We will take a hard look at this and see how we can improve it. It is always nice to get compliments, and your praise of our Manager is good to hear. We value her very highly and she deserves that acknowledgement. Kathryn, you and your family truly learned the real heart of the Gott Farm. The Fairy House that you left on the shore of the lake was a delight to us and to the guests who came after you. We hope you will return again to enjoy the special magic of this place.

Terry, we are so late in responding to your post. Please forgive us. The autumn came and went and we totally neglected your glowing review. We apologize. AND we want to thank you for your kindness in all the ways you showed during your Intentions Group stay at the Farm. Since that time, because of fallout from the pandemic, we have had to change some of our staff at the Farm, and our new team members are working hard to keep everything up to snuff. Hi Jane. We want to thank you for your wonderful and honest review. After we received this, we took a hard look at the access to the lake and decided to install a handrail going down the stone steps down to the top of the stairway. AND you will be happy to know that there is now an anchorage (marked by a buoy) out in the lake where you can leave your watercraft. We hope to see you again so you can enjoy these amenities. We upgraded all the linens this year to 100% cotton...They might be a little wrinkly , but are soft and cool, perfect for Maine evenings...enjoy! ;-)

Thanks for the enthusiasm! We are always happy to know our guests are as delighted to be at the Gott Farm as we are. We originally purchased the Farm so our two girls could spend summers surrounded by natural beauty and outdoor adventures in the woods along the lake. Knowing other children are having as much fun makes it all worthwhile.
