The room was spectacular. Immaculate and clean with great add on amenities. The problems that I had are more with the language barrier and age of the staff. In Wenzhou I met not a single soul that speaks English so it's difficult to communicate. They do not have a staff that can understand any English so if you need to call, you can't call. If you need to email, they don't have an email. If you need to reference the prices of extras in the room, it's really not clear (some things are marked with prices and some aren't). English, I feel is a fairly universal language in the tourism and hospitality industry. It would have been nice to have someone around to help more. The staff at the restaurant upstairs gave HORRIBLE customer service. Order wrong, ignored me and other tables. Opened 20 minutes late for breakfast which was sub-par. Food for dinner was amazing, but took a long time and dessert came out before the sushi order. When looking for the place, that was another feat all in itself. The address on Expedia and for the hotel is coming up about a mile down the road. It took a while for the taxi driver to find it. LUCKILY I had had someone print up the address in Chinese so he dropped me up at the accurate place and after circling for about 10 minutes found the entrance up an outdoor elevator around the back side of the building. If I ever go back to Wenzhou I would consider staying here only for the room. Recommend a hotel with English concierge if you don't speak Chinese.
