“Great location, Buzz was very friendly and helpful. Room was great, bed huge but a bit too hard for us. Big bathroom too. Nice breakfast, no fry ups, nice to have something different for a change. Parked free outside but a fight for a space”

“When I arrived it said there was a reception at the rear. There was nothing but a locked door. I was lucky that there was a fellow guest who could let me in and ring the manager. When I got in the room it was unmade from the previous guest, the sheets where dirty, there were bedsheets in the washbasin, dirty towels on the bed, the two towels that were folded up and put in the wardrobe were stained. The duvet smelled of urine. All in all very dirty and you'd be better going somewhere clean.”

“Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Hotel was clean and tidy. Our room was a nice size with a big bathroom. Shower over the bath so could have either. Facilities in our room for tea or coffee were excellent. Highly recommend this hotel. ”

“The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area.”

“Not brilliant really I'm afraid to say. Welcome was nice enough and the guy on duty was really happy to move his car so I could park my van in the parking area. He was very kind in this respect. However the room (no 2) was quite shabby. At first glance it looked ok but look closer and it definitely needs modernisation and at the very least a deep clean and paint job. There was residual dust in places (not everywhere but you could tell places that weren't cleaned). There were also multiple trip……
