I enjoyed my stay at the Baxa Inn and would stay there again. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was fair. However, the ice machine was broke, the bathtub did not have a plug for bathing, and it was very noisy in the mornings. There was a construction crew working directly behind my room.

The Baxa Inn is a modest inn nestled near the heart of Buckcannon. Our family of 3 stayed 2 nights for a family memorial service and the staff went out of their way to support our needs during a difficult time. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was refreshing. At a good price, was perfect for our needs.

From an outsiders prospective I was not expecting to see that people living within the Inn. My first thought was am I safe. However, the staff was very accommodating and had wonderful customer service. Turned my thoughts around 100%. I needed the WiFi password and could not find it and they were so quick to get it to me via text. They also started breakfast and arrived earlier for us to check out early. I would not say that it is 100% spotless but it was clean. They do not have any bugs and that is my number one concern with traveling.

Attempted to check in and no one was at desk and front door was locked. After an hour and several phone calls a woman answered the door and said the place was full even after looking at my reservation itinerary. Had to go to a different hotel.

I made reservations via Expedia. When I arrived there (about 6 pm ) the door was locked tight. Called them and got a recording which said to leave a message. I did so with no response. There was a building behind the house which appeared to be a very rundown motel building. I found out that the owner of the main house and I presume the rundown “motel” lived-right next door. I went there and the owner of the motel told me that the person who checks in people had left for the day. She made no effort what-so-ever to accommodate me in any way so I just left and went elsewhere.
