“Good location near Munising and several attractions. The property was clean and had plenty of bedding and towels. We used both the grill and fireplace, which was great! The only downsides were that the beds were very squeaky, so not good for light sleepers, and the beach isn’t really one you would swim in due to the algae and muck - still enjoyed sitting lakeside tho! We also had our dog, and it was great to find a place that was pet friendly.”

“To celebrate my 40th birthday a group of friends I’ve known since we were kids all came into town and we stayed at this beautiful property. The house is brand new with all the amenities and space for people to spread out and catch up. Not far from any of the major tourist sites and an awesome fire pit to sit around roasting marshmallows at night. 10/10 would stay here again.”

“It was so lovely to escape to the forest for a second time this year. The cabin was just the same as it was, and we did not have any issues. Sheri, the local point of contact, was attentive and respectful of our privacy. We stayed for two weeks, and she worked with us to pick up trash and refuel the generator. “The cabin was very charming, nicely decorated and very clean. The neighboring cabins were kind of close and a few cabins down, they ran chain saws all day. I enjoyed watching the loons, eagles and a baby otter on the lake. Hope the little guy survives the eagles. All is all, a very nice week.”

“Walking into this cottage was like I had been there before. The pictures are so accurate. Everything was just great. We had a fabulous time even though I didn’t get a chance to use the kayak. We did check out the historic Fayette Village state park. Also went to see the Big Spring Indian Lake. We would love to come back here again, in fact, I could just move in. The only thing was the pots and pans were not the best. Thanks for everything. Great place!”

We were only there in the evenings we had campfire each night and at one one night the manager called to let us know that the northern lights were hitting and we jumped in the car, went about a mile away, and got fabulous pictures of the northern lights overall it was perfect. It was right in the middle of where we wanted to go. Rock hounding, and waterfall chasing. We would do it again.”

“We had a great time at The Pines. The hosts were very responsive to questions, the house has everything you could possibly need (including some nice homey touches) and the beds are comfy!
