Munising Adventure

Vrbo we stayed at was clean and within walking distance to all the best stops in town! A little early for the season to be there but we had some great hiking opportunities! The weather cooperated too.

Adorable little place

Great stay!

Great place to stay in Munising! Apartment was very clean and had a fully stocked kitchen. Was here in the Fall to see pictured rocks and it was only a 15-30 min drive to the holes we went on! Would highly recommend.

Nice space and great location

Enjoyed everything about our stay. The only frustrating part was trying to get a hold of any of the contacts provided. The welcome email indicated an app or attached info about accessing the property. When I called the numbers listed, it would go to a voicemail and direct me to call another number. Took several hours to make contact, but luckily, there is a delightful brewery right across the street. Everything in the property was clean, and many minor amenities were available for use.

Cute and Clean

My partner had never been to a lot of the iconic locations in Michigan. We planned a marathon road trip and stayed here one night while exploring Pictured Rocks on Labor Day. The property was very clean and well stocked with towels, dishware, shower products, and dish soap/sponges which I’m sure would be handy if we had stayed longer. I did need to clarify how much of the bedding we needed to strip down as part of the checkout notes, but it was very easy to get in contact with the property management. The only negatives, and I say these lightly, is that there was no curtain in the kitchen window (which overlooks parking), and the floor in the kitchen is sloped. If you’re traveling with someone who’s unsteady on their feet, just be advised. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would likely stay again if we ever visit Munising again for a longer stay.

So-So place in a great location

Overall this property is fine. It is one of three in the building. There were some issues however with our stay, for instance, the bathroom door latch decoupled fron the bathroom door knob preventing me from exiting the bathroom. Additionally the floor of the kitchen and bathroom is not level. There is a hole in the kitchen floor. Some of these issues did detract from my wife's and my enjoyment of our stay. Overall I didn't think the rental rate was appropriate for the property's condition or issues. I did not find rhe bed comfortable, my wife did. It is very soft and excruciatingly wobbly and creeky when tossing or turning. That being said it was nice to have a full size refrigerator, stocked dishes, and a tv which I was able to cast my phone to so that we could stream entertainment. Internet was fast enough for both of us to use. My biggest issue is the rental company provides an app to control the thermostat, but the app isn't available on any app store currently. I called the host to adjust the heat (we visited during a 40° rainy week) and had it set. The host was helpful and responsive, but even set to an appropriate temperature, it was super hot as the heat runs constantly to a cooling temperature and then cools constantly. I don't think it would be difficult to just install a thermostat for guests to use in the properties. The cleaning fee is charged despite guests doing a vast majority of the cleaning. We found prior guest trash under the couch. 2 or 3 out of 5.

Location, Location, Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This charming rental was in a prime location to shops, restaurants and the Pictured Rocks cruises. In addition, it is close to the many waterfalls and hiking trails. As others have said, this unit has an interesting layout but for just the two of us, it was perfect. The unit was very clean with plenty of amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. We only used the Keurig and microwave, so cannot comment on the stove or cookware offered. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The small living room area could use an update on the couch (squeaky cushions). And as already mentioned, there is a very small table for 2 in the kitchen (not conducive to eating meals). We did not get much in the way of communication from the manager other than a confirmation of our reservation and completed payments. I did inquire/email about 2 days before our stay to get more information and was told I would receive an email the night before our arrival date (wish we would have been told this prior). We would recommend this property to friends/couples or maybe a family with 1-2 small children. Munising is a delightful town and people very friendly.

Getaway to Pictured Rocks

We rented the whole house

Great Base Location for Pictured Rocks

This place was the perfect base for exploring the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We loved the location because after hiking all day, we could walk to restaurants and even the boat tours. The space was perfect to relax in. It was clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive.

This Munising room suite has several nice things going for it- very convenient location (yet we found it thankfully quiet), cute lounge/tv room as you enter, nice spacious kitchen with everything you need, and good bathroom. The only downside is the bed. It is a "full" size at best which is fine if you're single or a younger couple that tolerates tighter quarters - which we are not. Pictured Rocks is worth a visit and some exploring, great beaches. Cuisine in Munising: lots of pizza and craft beer.

The house is in a great location, within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, Artist’s Alley, parks and the cruise docks. The gelato at East Side Sweets was phenomenal!! The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit squeaky, which would wake you up when someone rolled over (lol). Overall, it was a very positive experience and we would stay here again.

I did not realize that one of the beds was actually a pull out sofa. I also would not classify this as a 2 bedroom as it it is more like a studio since the one actual bedroom is a pass thruthru
