Whangamata is a small town that comes alive during the summertime. Offering fabulous swimming beaches, a spot for the boaties and many surrounding islands. To the left is Hauturu Island, which can be accessed during low tide, and to the right is Donut Island. Summer activities include the Summer Festival Annual Craft Market and also the famous Beach Hop.
