"The room was excellent with a very comfy king-size bed beautiful view of the sea and Abbey. The only downsize was the bathroom is need of a refurb as the shower cubicle is very small and the doorway is very small. Has a bath that we did use made the bathroom a little cramped. It is due a refurb so be great to come back. The breakfast was very good but would of liked some more options for vegetarians. The bar was lovely with a nice ambience in The Fat Badger Brand"

"On the whole, our experience was positive. The room was spotless, relatively recently decorated, and with fairly good amenities. We had some difficulty locating the kettle, which was in built-in wardrobe rather than next to the tea and coffee, cups etc, however those guests needing wardrobe space wouldn’t be disappointed. There was also a mini fridge. The beds and bedding were immaculate and good quality, and there were limited toiletries provided. Unfortunately though, I have taken off one star because of the abysmal - or should I say non-existent - customer service. I had a query regarding parking prior to actual check-in time. We knew we would be arriving earlier than 3pm so I contacted the owners to ask if it was ok to park in the morning, however received no response to messages sent through Expedia and left on their answering machine, and then once I’d found their email address on their website I sent another message asking the same question but all the response I received said was “thank you”. We parked there anyway and it wasn’t a problem. We will definitely be staying here again though, despite the lack of customer service, as it is extremely good value for money and very conveniently located in the town, around a 10 minute walk away from the centre/ railway station."
