「Not the easiest place to find on ‘maps’ but good directions provided by host (in future I will make direct contact with the host!!)」

Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. 「Rooms were nice and clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Had the worst nights sleep of my life though. Had to move rooms at 12am as couldn’t get to sleep in my first room due to a constant drone sound from a pump in the building. Reception staff moved me immediately. Finally settled down in the new room only for the fire alarm to go off at 2am. I’m sure my experience would’ve been fine had it not been for those problems」

「Useful location but very close to the A30. Nice hotel/former coaching Inn with friendly welcome. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. The good size double room had a kettle with coffee bags, fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board plus large TV. The mattress was a bit too firm for our comfort though.」

「The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal. Full fresh cooked breakfast included in the cost of the room. Proper Americano coffee served at no extra cost with breakfast! I had a glass of champagne with the evening meal and it was chilled, bubbly and perfect. 」

「The staircase to our room is winding, and I need to go up and down before arriving at my room. The wall is thin and is not very sound proof, so I can hear what next door's saying and TV noise. It could be disturbing to someone during time for bed. There could be some seepage at the bath tub as there was a pool of water on the toilet floor after my shower, even though there was a glass door to stop water from splashing over to the floor. 「This is a very old characterful property, with low beams etc. Venue was chosen for a small family reunion and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The staff were all very polite, helpful and patient which adds to the enjoyment. The food was really excellent and thanks to the chef none of our group had any complaints, Definitely recommend.」

「We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous. We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. 」
