The accommodations were fine, but there is little sound dampening between the floors. Fortunately the noise was short-lived.

Location and parking was perfect!Beds were very comfortable! Could have an extra blanket available!Nice to have the choice of bath or shower!Towels would need a bit of upgrade!Didn’t really use the kitchen but everything seemed available!!

Communication and check in was great!High ceilings made it feel less like a basement suite.All towels had a mildew smell and no bed sheets on beds just comforter. Limited kitchen items - only coffee cups and wine glasses. No extra garbage bags or info on where garbage should go. Was mostly clean.The listing stated there were two parking spots on the driveway but there was a trailer parked in one of the spots.Violin was practiced daily by tenants above.

Very nice place on the inside. Having to enter the property from the back was unexpected and being below ground level made it hard for air flow with no A/C. Host was very good with communication and it was a nice place to stay

The property was lovely. Jim was quite to get us what we asked for (a broom) I don’t think there’s enough kitchen utensils. That’s just my opinion. We bought a flipper to stay there but otherwise it was a great stay

The property itself was clean and organized. They had few plates and utensils but worked for 3 of us (1 small pot, looked to me maybe they were just starting to gather things for the suite) The suite was very close to the beach and restaurants which is what we had hoped so enjoyed that. We were not at the suite much and when we were it was loud. 1 day we left at 9am and came back at 5pm-6pm only I had a bad headache and went today down and someone playing the piano (sounded right above me) played for the whole hour. I understand they have a life and play piano I just thought it was poor timing. We went back out and did not return until 9:45 and were exhausted from an exciting holiday and could hear kids running and screaming at each other until 11pm. I understand I have children myself (14 and 11) who were also annoyed that at 11pm we could hear them screaming. The next day at 8am could hear kids screaming/crying and playing right above us (sounded like anyway). It did feel like a safe neighbourhood and had a save on and such within 5 minutes. The stairs are in pictures and are pretty steep but we didn’t find it too much of a problem unless we’re had our suitcases. There were no extra pillows or extra blankets or any sort. Which would have been handy since I was sharing a bad with an 11 year old blanket hog and at one point would have moved to the couch but had no extra bedding to use. Washer and dryer did work and were a nice perk to wash some laundry.

Very nice light and bright basement suite in a nice quiet neighbourhood. We were on town for a track meet and it was just a 2 minute drive to South Surrey Athletic Park. It was also minutes from groceries and restaurants and White Rock beach. We were very happy with our stay, could have used a few more towels and bedding but other than that we had everything we needed!

A great stay!!!!

The location to the main beach/Marine drive where the restaurants are was perfect. A beautiful walk to the end of the pier or a 8 uber. The suite was spacious and nice. Close to gas station and Save on Foods. Quiet neighbourhood. The host was available if necessary (but didn’t need him) and very easy to work with. A great place and will definitely consider renting again if we have the opportunity to go back.

Great Location and Space

We booked this place for a weekend while we were there for a soccer tournament. The location was perfect for us since it was pretty close to the fields. It was also nice to be close to the beach area. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and the property owner answered all our questions promptly and politely. Would definitely stay here again! Only (minor) issue was finding the entrance. It's around back, so it feels a little strange to walk into someone's yard.

Safe neighborhood and great space

The basement suite was great - high ceilings and ample bedroom and bathroom space. We didn’t use the kitchen really so can’t speak to availability of essentials. The one thing that we were disappointed with was cleanliness. The bathroom floors were covered in hair. Not just one or two but so much hair. The bedding had hair on it too. Not really what you want to see when you’re climbing into bed. Otherwise it was fine. Easy to get into however a sign outside or notes on how to find it would be helpful. The entrance isn’t visible from the sides of the house and we didn’t really want to wander around someone’s house after dark looking. Ended up calling and it was fine.

Nice place, would not stay again

Overall this was a comfortable property to stay at. Clean. Those are not queen size beds. It would be nice to have an extra blanket handy. Those stairs are difficult to navigate while caring stuff We were 3 ladies in out late 50s and early 60s, so hard to navigate. Host did help to take luggage down. When I saw beachside property, thought it might have been closer than 2 miles to beach. Bath tub difficult for short legged people, would be helpful to ha a bar to help you get in and out. Thankfully there was a walk in shower. Happy there was a wine opener and wine glasses. Though overall nice place would not stay there again due to the steep stairs. Oh, it would be nice to have a lock box for a key. We did finally figure out how to lock it with key pad.
