Chesapeake Bay Beachfront Retreat

  • Get away from it all on Henry's Island, offering alluring privacy and breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy the 5-acre Bay-front home whose private sandy beach includes unique Northern Neck sand dunes. Swim, crab, fish, or use provided canoe, kayak, or paddle board to explore the water. Relax on lounge chairs with a frosty drink (margarita machine included). Take in the Bay breeze while reading a book or sleeping on the beach. The open floor plan and 9 ft. ceilings provide a spectacular view to watch bald eagles, osprey, and heron without leaving the beautifully furnished house. Dine inside overlooking the Bay or eat outside on the patio set after using the gas grill. Three king bedrooms (including two master suites), a bunk room, and a separate playroom make it comfortable and fun for adults and kids alike.


    Something for Everyone: Tour one of historic Northern Neck's 19 museums, golf, or sip Virginia's finest wines on the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail. Sail, shop or dine in award-winning restaurants nearby. Enjoy an easy drive to historic Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA.

Chesapeake Bay Beachfront Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is a lovely home with beautiful views and ample space for a large group. The house was clean and well stocked with necessities. The property manager was flexible and responsive. We loved the beach and had great fun swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. We are big fans of the northern neck area and nearby Irvington, White Stone and Kilmarnock for their restaurants, shops and events. We highly recommend this home for a family vacation!

Relaxing by the water

The perfect place for us

This was the second year in a row we have stayed here, and we absolutely loved it! The house was clean and smelled so fresh when we arrived, and the location is so beautiful. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and the fishing was fantastic. Diane is a wonderful host, and we hope to stay here again in the future!

Great for families and friends

We had a wonderful stay! The location of the property is private and there is plenty to do for everyone of all ages. The fishing and crabbing kept everyone entertained. Highly recommended for unplugging and having time together!

We keep coming back! Great location. Nothing fancy but good size for 6 adults and 3 small children. Lovely stretch of beach. To be honest cleaning staff could be better but overall we love it here.

Amazing location!

We had three generations… grandparents , two grown kids and their spouses, and kids ranging from 10 months to 12 years. The location can’t be beat. The water is calm, private sandy beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, spacious kitchen, gas BBQ. We all loved it!

Relaxing and beautiful

We thoroughly enjoyed our week, from relaxing on the porch watching the Dolphins, other wildlife and the ships go by to swimming, canoeing, and sitting on the beach. House was beautiful and comfortable and nearby towns nice to visit. Only problem was the week went by too fast.

Great family fun

This property was perfect for our family including , adults and young grandchildren. The water was warm and shallow and the grandchildren had a great time. The adults used the canoe and kyack and paddle board. We could all eat together at the large table and enjoyed the privacy of our own beach. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Picture perfect vacation

Had a wonderful time fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, sitting on the porch watching the dolphins swim by. Two items I would recommend updated TVs as we could only watch the same things upstairs as the down stairs tv had on, also we had some issues with the internet.. we had some storms and buggy nights which forced us inside. Overall would definitely visit again.

Cleanliness and locations

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. The house definitely needs a deep cleaning and the cleaning service that the owner uses needs to be stepped up for the cleaning time between tenants. There were a couple of complaints and the owner did refund a small amount of the rental fee.

4th time staying here. Always a great time.

Nice roomy house, perfectly accommodates our group of 6 adults and 3 small children. Beautiful view from house. We enjoy the open floor plan, with large ( newly remodeled ) kitchen and dining table that comfortably seats 10. Private section of beach, very peaceful. Great for bird watching. Shallow, gentle grade to the break wall for young swimmers. To be honest the cleaning staff could do better, and the house isn’t fancy, but we really love this place.
