This is a working ranch, not a motel. Platform tent is camping though much better than pitching your own tent. Nice setting and friendly people. Really enjoyed getting to know our neighbor. Deer munching grass at the edge of the platform. Owls hooting in the distance coyotes howling too.

This hidden gem was just the perfect place to relax. I made a mistake and booked the wrong night. When I arrived they were happy to accommodate me for the night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will for sure book next time I am in the area.

One in our group had an allergic reaction to pet hair in the bedding so we had to leave. Bathrooms were quite terrible, worse than most campgrounds I’ve been to. Cleanliness is an issue.

The location is in a splendid mountain nook, tucked away. Wildlife, ranch bison, horsetrail rides. Needed more internet access in the back Teepees, and trail lights, but use own flashlight to get to washrooms. Nice breakfast and ranch staff!

What a charming location. I was on a roadtrip, booked on my phone and was pleasantly surprised by the bison, horses, views! Overall rustic charm. Staff was helpful. The tent was well stocked with blankets. The walk to the bathroom passed a bison! I fell asleep to rain. It was idyllic.

The tipis allow to sleep in natural beauty of the outdoors, fresh air, quiet forest, and nice bedding. Trails now had lighting set up, clean bathroom, great breakfast to order in dining hall included w price of stay. Wildlife, ranch Bison, horses for trailriding, supply store. Nice people. Miigwetch! Booked a camping tent that was nice. Bed was comfy and clean. The fresh air was nice and the view on the horse ride was wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom situation was not great and not so clean. Please fix this, you have a great place but you will turn away people if you cant figure that out. Food was decent for dinner but the breakfast was great.

Total gem in Montana! I went here with two friends after a long trip in Glacier and Banff, and we loved it. I would have stayed here the entire trip if it were closer to Glacier. Super cool property and housing. The breakfast was delicious, tasted just like anything you would make at home. Being from Texas, it felt like a nice little slice of home. The teepees are cool, the horses are beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. Can’t complain. I also love the book that this place is based off of and would have loved to learn some more about why they chose it.

Made multiple attempts to email and call the property to see if we could get some sort of exception on the cancellation due to a bad wildfire smoke. I have a health condition that makes that dangerous for me. I never got a response or a refund.

The breakfast staff were preoccupied with their life. They opened late and it took over 45 minutes to get our breakfast. The other 14 guest had to pass around 1 container of sugar. The microwave and coffee machines were filthy.

Unfortunately, we didn’t end up staying. The tent was not fully sealed, and our dog could easily get out underneath the walls. The floor was open directly to the ground, so the possibility of snakes or other creatures getting into the tent—or even into the bed—was not a risk I was comfortable taking. On top of that, the bed had what appeared to be a very old, worn-out mattress that was broken down and extremely uncomfortable. Between the safety concerns and the condition of the sleeping arrangements, we didn’t feel the accommodations matched what we were expecting, so we decided not to stay.

The first teepee we had was wet from a storm that had gone on the day before we were there. The owner kindly it us in another one tho. We were there the first of June so it got down to 5 degrees Celsius. It was cool but the blankets were fine for it. We didn’t stay for breakfast as it was from 9-10 am and we wanted to hit the road. We stayed 3 nights in one of the tents. We knew there would be no electricity, so we were prepared for that, and we knew it would be a 10 minute walk on a dirt path to the “bath/bathroom” house. We didn’t know that the “bathhouse” is an old wooden building that has 2 sides, one for men and one for women. Each side has one sink, one toilet and one grimy shower. No private place to undress and dress. No cleaning was done over the 3 nights we were there. That bathhouse is shared by all of the tents and teepees. Bring towels. I suggest if you go to the ranch, check out the little cabins but pass on the tents and teepees unless you can come prepared for everything but a bed to sleep in. The breakfast is good except it doesn’t start until 8:30, which we found to be too late for getting going in the mornings.
