The house appears a little unpromising on arrival, but once inside it reveals a beautifully refurbished, comfortable and spacious house. It suited our family very well, providing for all ages, but especially for the children who enjoyed the garden, the games room and the abundance of books and toys. It was well placed for access to the high street in Whitstable and a short walk for all requirements.
The showering/bathing facilities were ample for 8 of us and featured quality fixtures and fittings. The beds were comfortable and again had high quality bedding. In all, the house felt very homely, the owners obviously had renovated and furnished it very sympathetically and generously.
There were a couple of niggles. The parking was not always easy. On arrival we were not able to park to unload and had to walk quite a way with luggage. I think this is probably a feature of Whitstable in high season and caused by visitors like us! There was no cafetière for coffee at the first breakfast but this was resolved by the agents by the next day. We also had difficulty with the induction hob, which worked on the first day, but not thereafter. We reported this to the agents and were given some advice, but as all of these strategies had already been tried (with the help of Google) we were left exasperated. There are no instruction manuals to refer to. This was also the case with the television which I would have liked to watch on the last evening but without a guide found it impossible to work.
