「Unfortunately we were allocated a room on the ground floor, sandwiched between a staff cleaning room and a meeting room. The safe did not work, the room looked out onto a rough area at the back of the hotel, staff wheeled rubbish outside the window every day creating a lot of noise. After our first night, we went out until 3.30pm leaving the sign on the door to say it was free for cleaning. When we returned and it had not been cleaned, we asked reception why and were informed staff are...

「First time in Ireland. This was our first experience during our stay and couldn’t be more impressed. Wish we stayed the entire trip. Hospitality was next level, truly. Rooms were updated, fresh pastries delivered to your door each morning, stocked fridge with meat, cheese, grapes, sparkling apple juice, fresh milk, water… just incredible. My wife had the best espresso martini she’s ever had in the (I think new?) pub/restaurant attached. And, the town… AMAZING. Picturesque. It felt like a...

「Quite disappointed with our stay at the Strand. Outlets didn’t work, shower would leak and cover the whole bathroom floor, bed and pillows were quite uncomfy. There is barely anybody ever at the front desk, the front door was locked on multiple occasions and we had to wait around for somebody to come open it. We understand it’s a heritage building and we’re looking forward to the quirks that came with that but for the price paid - we were not happy.」
