It was a fine hotel and I appreciated its history and Old World charm. But the water in the bath never got hot enough, which I found strange for a city whose reputation was built on hot waters. I’m sure I could have told housekeeping to fix this, but I don’t like to have to complain about such small things. I would also recommend the hotel update its bedding. The weight and quality of it is good, but the brown/yellow synthetic fabric topper did not add to the hotel’s luxe aesthetic. My first impression was that I made a mistake spending so much money to stay in a room no better dressed than a grandmother’s bedroom. Nevertheless, I would stay here again if I find a deal. I loved the location and the staff were all very welcoming.

Hotel mit besonderem Flair

Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Hotel hat Stil. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, trotzdem haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Ende des Jahres schließt das Hotel für zwei Jahre wegen Sanierung. Schön das wir das alte Hotel noch mal erleben durften.

es hat uns sehr gefallen, aber einer Raucherlounge mit Musik am Abend und ohne Klaviermusik in der offenen Lounge fanden wir ehrlich gesagt nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Rauchen ist gesundheitsschädlich und und wird in der normalen Gastronomie nicht mehr toleriert. Daher sollte das Management dringenst eine andere Rauchfreie unterhaltsame anspruchsvollere Perspektive anbieten.

Die Lage ist wirklich super. Was gewöhnungsbedürftig ist, ist tatsächlich der Look, der schon sehr old-fashioned ist, jedoch in das Gesamtbild passt. Die Zimmer benötigen schon das ein oder anderen Upgrade, wie bspw. mehr Steckdosen inkl. USB Lademöglichkeiten und Massivholz-Nachttische bzw. ein Fernsehschrank sind ebenfalls nicht mehr state-of-the-art. Die Drinks an der Bar waren exzellent, allerdings kann man seine Kleidung danach direkt in die Reinigung geben, weil dort geraucht werden darf. Was mich jedoch wirklich gestört hat, war die Geräuschkulisse am späten Abend bzw. der Nacht im Zimmer 159. Natürlich soll jeder Spaß und Freude haben, aber ein 5 Sterne Superior Haus, welches das erste Hotel am Platz ist, sollte schon eine vernünftige Isolierung der Zimmer haben, sodass ich nicht das Gefühl habe, live dabei zu sein, während sich eine Dame die Seele aus dem Leib schreit (hoffentlich vor Freude). Schade, dass man keine Aufnahmen anhängen kann, sonst hätte ich die Community gerne um Feedback gebeten, was um 2:42 Uhr so passiert ist. Da passt Preis / Leistung leider absolut nicht... ich bin ja nicht in einem Stundenhotel hinter einem Bahnhof und sowas habe ich ehrlicherweise noch nie erlebt.

Very comfortable hotel with a touch of class. Piano in the lobby bar was nice, but a bit loud, if you wanted to sit, sip and talk. Great breakfast! Close to shopping and evening dining. We would return again. This is the only place to stay!
