Definitely a good hotel just wasn’t expecting the rooms to be on the outside of the hotel. Other then that it was perfect

Boycott hotels charging deposits!
Various hotels across the country have decided to take advantage of customers by gouging them on arrival for over-reaching deposits. RedRoof Wilmington NC has begun to do this egregious act as well. Before I even entered the room I received a message from my credit card bank notifying me that I have been charged $201--$100 above the set rate. The dollar amount and the level of accommodations is so wildly out of proportion that it leaves the customer completely disgusted with their purchase.
When I demanded my $100 deposit be returned the next day at checkout, I was met with the most rude response from the female manager on duty 10-29-23. I told her I will not put up with deposits for a stay at the hotel and since my deposit was not going to be refunded as fast as it was charged, telling me it would take as many as 5 business days, that I would never be returning to the hotel, which I have stayed in prior more than 6 times. She rudely replied that she didn't care and was placing me on a "DO NOT RENT" list. She should be fired. Customer service is SO DEAD everywhere! Everyone under the age of 40 seems to think the customer should stop tormenting them by making them do their job. Put your phone away and grow some responsible adult traits!
