“When we opened the door we knew we were somewhere special. The tasteful approach to refurbishing this 1710 cottage was remarkable. We have stayed in many VRBO’s around the world and The Orchard House is without a doubt our favorite. After 13 hrs. of travel we were delighted when we walked into the kitchen and found eggs, milk and OJ in the fridge as well as a strawberry sponge cake, and other local treats. Thank you Maggie it was all appreciated and consumed. We stayed here for 1 month and it……

“Quirky campsite, stayed in the Airstream Had everything we needed for a couple of nights away. Was nice to have our own toilet but, felt the shower was unnecessary and we did not use it Well equipped kitchen, seating area inside and out. Bed very comfy ”

“My wife and son had the most delightful 4 night stay in this wonderful cottage in the heart of Boughton with only 2 mins walk to the centre. From begining to end everything was a breeze. Ease of location, parking, entry, cleanliness upstairs downstairs, comfort, good facilities, overall it was perfect. Even on arrival the owners had left a "sweet"surprise for my wife's celebration - a very nice touch for our stay. Thank you.I fully recomend this beautiful property for any length of stay.”

“Host was difficult to reach. We never received check in information. We had to call the property owner twice and Travel Nest three times over several hours to get the information. Listing also says the house house has a washer and dryer, but there is no dryer. ”

“Spacious cosy well equipped property, comfortable beds, great showers. Steam train at bottom of garden which was fun. Could do with an instruction booklet in the house ( as although instruction videos good) couldn’t work out how to turn on fire in large sitting room.”

“Our little shepherds hut was amazing, everything we needed was available, super clean, surroundings were beautiful including having horses up close, just the relaxing getaway we both needed x”

“Was told by Expedia that I had the property to myself but when I arrived I realised I was sharing with 3 other people. Property was supposedly called ‘the cottage’ but turns out this was next door’s place. Parking was basically none existent in the end as the other people had their car(s) on the very small driveway. Only things I can say were good was that the WiFi was a decent speed considering how rural the area was, and the bed was very comfortable.”

“Fabulous location. Comfortable cottage, fully equipped and close to lovely nature walks. Great walk between Lower Slaughter and Upper Slaughter. Stairs were doable albeit challenging. Beautiful, relaxing garden. Excellent instructions and great communication with owner.”
