Do not stay here. I booked a room for 2 nights, we left after 1 night. We could not leave soon enough! The fridge and lamp in our room were both broken the towel and carpets were dirty and the bed was extremely uncomfortable as the springs were almost through the mattress and to top it off the spa was broken! Very unpleasant stay and very little help from staff to rectify the situation.

Worthy of an e stay only

Terrible service from staff, had to sneak in a staff exit to see someone for a late check in after calling ahead twice, property is not as advertised, not clean, and in need of repair. Tv only worked on one channel and even that kept cutting out. Bedside light had arcing wiring. Sink glued back together. Definitely an emergency stop off only. All we really needed was a bed and thankfully that was comfortable, beyond that it was disappointing.

Off season stay

I booked this stay largely so I was close to the Kangaroo Island Ferry. I had expected a typical motel style room for a single night. In fact what I found on arrival was a relatively large facility which I assume is a holiday resort during the tourist season. However, when we arrived we found that there were no staff and that the contact number we had went unanswered. Fortunately I had received at txt message from a different number giving a key code to check in and calling that number I got some assistance. As a venue the room was fine with some basic facilities and eventually we found a guest kitchen with some basic appliances. Having driven for Melbourne and arriving at about 7 pm I was comforted by the venue being OK but disappointed at the varience between what the web and booking information had led me to expect. I've had similar experiences with AirB&B ads in the past and for this reason use general reputable booking sites. It would have been better to have a more current description either on the site or at least in the information email together with an up to date contact number. Out of season I rate the venue as a backpacker friendly venue and not worth what I paid.

The room we booked has a terrible smell as soon as we enter. The double bed (2 single beds combined) was unkempt, way below standard for a standard hotel/motel. The electric kettle has rust. However, we found a warning advice inside one of the drawers that the guests are not supposed to use the electric kettle as it may trigger the fire alarm. Apparently, an accidental trigger of the alarm may add up to the cost of your stay! The warning advice should be conspicuously placed so guests may be forewarned. Overall, this was supposed to be our 2 day break turned out to be a stressful, no sleep experience.

The price versus the quality of the hotel wasn’t fair. They add as a 4 stars hotel and toilets were miserable, bed uncomfortable and what makes us very dissatisfied was how dirty it was.
