Nice Relaxing Getaway

Very quiet and relaxing. Small community of cabins with a private beach. Cabins are more like houses with fully finished kitchens, living room, TV, bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry, etc. Nice big decks. Only few minutes from downtown Dells. Highly recommend this location for a quiet relaxing get away.

Great location, lovely home great for a larger family.

The location was perfect, the views of the water, and the accessibility to the water was awesome. You can fish off the docks, there is plenty of community outdoor seating for all property guests’, we loved the fact that we could go for an evening walk on sidewalks from the property. The home was very clean. There are plenty of extra sheets, blankets and towels. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. There are two walk-in closets, which were fantastic for changing rooms and places to put a pack and play. The areas of improvement would be: they desperately need new beds, the beds and pillows were not good at all and they should consider replacing the outdoor furniture, it’s in pretty rough shape. I would also say that the sliding patio doors need some work. They are hard to operate, and could use some attention. If the beds were replaced, I would 100% not hesitate to go back to this property.

place to stay close to the dells

We initially booked with VRBO however, later realized we would have to deal with VACASA to have questions answered etc. Since there was no local manager available it took considerable time to receive an answer (and we received no answer about where to park our boat trailer). The information on VRBO vs. VACASA did not match. It was unclear about bedding and towels. The old thunderbird resort site said you had to bring your own towels. When I tried to confirm this with VRBO/VACASA we got no response. My family and I were under the impression there was an indoor pool. Unfortunately this was not the case. The ad also said there would be parking for a boat and trailer. Also not really the case. I ended up using the grass near the parking area which I am pretty sure was not the optimal spot for anyone. This is also no longer really the thunderbird resort. Each of the individual houses are privately owned and has their own set of rules or occupants. While everyone was really friendly, it is no longer a real resort with actual infrastructure as advertised with a resort.
