Wombeyan Caves Holiday Rentals

"We booked this place because of the pool. It had not been cleaned. It had leaves, dead frogs and more. We couldn't use it. The trampoline was unusable with tears in safety net and the whole thing covered in moss. The cleaner arrived at three and left at 5pm. We were there at check in time. The oven was filthy and so were any baking dishes. The spa outside didn’t heat up. The spa bath inside had no motor and aluminium alfoil screwed up as a plug. The dryer worked with the door open. Very dangerous for kids and dog. A storm at 530 pm caused flooding at the front door as drainage was very poor. We ruined shoes getting inside and unpacking car. And on the Sunday there was an electricity outage so no water and couldnt use toilet, washing machine, dishwasher, have a shower. We told the host who sarcastically said on SMS that it’s a farm! No generator. We left as it was unsatisfactory with kids. No information on who to contact for emergencies. The gardens are overgrown. In general this place needs a deep clean and lots of maintenance of everything outside and inside. We would like our last day refunded and more compensation for the pool. After we found the hosts phone number on the internet, not VRBO, he was unhelpful and away somewhere anyway. He only answered if we texted him. All up incredibly disappointing for family birthday celebration. Nowhere to contact to ensure we are compensated. "

"Absolutely magical place to stay! The views are like nothing else and the cabins are fantastic, they have everything you need.We stayed during 35deg weather so it was a shame the pool was pretty milky and dirty, but it certainly didn't stop the kids from going in. The view from the pool is awesome. The kids loved walking the driveway to visit the horses and cows, they spotted goannas and other wildlife which made it really special. We would love to go back and stay during cooler weather!"
