Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Oak valley resort is right for big groups
It’s a resident hotel located in 90 hole golf club course. You can overlook the field. The interior is bit old fashioned, but not bad. Big 3 rooms, 8 people can stay. Self check in and out on your phone, so it was easy. Amusement park located in south condos.
Swimming pool and sauna located in ski condos.

Disliked: Staff & service
no friendly staff, a few facilities available on weekday, too far between each building
It’s not our family’s first time. We probably stay at least two times a year or more, for the last ten years I have been in Korea. Always a good time even though there’s not much in the resort unless you’re a golfer or skier. We always find ways to keep ourselves busy in and out of our room. The staff and services are impeccable.
Our recent stay I left a few of contacts lens and even though I was willing to call it a lost but took a shot of calling and asking them to hold them in lost and found if I ever returned next month. But they offered to ship them to my house the next business day. Amazing!
Among other things the room included air conditioning. Having lived in Korea, the climate can be very hot and muggy at times. However, when the air conditioning didn't work we found out that they purposely gave us a room without air conditioning. Then they were going to charge us extra for an upgraded room that did have air conditioning. All this after a long day of travel. The next morning after complaining then agreed not to charge us. Overall not a pleasant experience. Note to others, especially foreigners, ask about the air conditioning before getting your room.
we found 2 earwigs, hairs were on the floor.. towels were too small for shower. swimming pool and sauna was closed, even bowling place was closed. nothing to do, and the service wasn't good too. the place is old and not in good condition
They gave us room with strong smoking smell and didn’t want to switch to the other room. We had to complain so hard to switch to different room. It was family trip with my kid. Also we wanted ski resort view instead of parking lot view and they said no rooms available but we saw some other people get the room on the ski resort side after us. Just so many ways they don’t care about the costumers.
Original room booked was in an old building (condo C) with a strong, musty, old closet smell. We asked to be moved and were told that all of the rooms in that building smelled the same. We were able to move to a non-smelly room in the next building for a 50,000 won per night surcharge.
There was no shampoo or body wash provided. The towels were what most westerners consider “hand towels.”
The whole “resort” was a bit dated and appeared to be suffering from lack of tourists. There is that probably a reason why.
