"This apartment was a beautiful place to stay. I love the private patio area and that it was ocean view. I didn’t like that the water pressure to the shower was very low, it was barely dripping so that was really frustrating having to use the shower in the unit. I would also recommend that since there were no room cleaning they should at least have access to a washer and dryer so you can have clean sheets and towels throughout your stay. "

"The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily."

"The staff at this hotel made our stay an unforgettable one. Everyone from the front desk to wait staff and bartenders were very friendly and polite."

"Food was excellent. Only real problem was the pool. It closes at 8:00 PM and there isn't a swim up bar. The property doesn't clean the sargassum (seaweed) off their beach. Plus they have a sign that says no swimming in the sea. So, swim at your own risk. Now back to the food. This is an true all inclusive resort. When you eat at any of the restaurants you can order more than one appetizer, entrée and dessert. The buffet was really good as well. I would rate this a sold 9 out of 10. Highly recommend this to anyone o e or any family."

"Our stay was okay, but expected way better for the cost. Our AC and power went out multiple times and everything feels outdated. The service wasn’t very good, took forever to get drinks by the pool. The food was…. Eh. Very hit or miss just like any other all inclusive. When we complained about the air conditioning keep breaking the staff told us multiple times that they would treat us to a free stay, but then gave us a contract that said it’s only for a free upgraded room. It felt a little scheme-y because I confirmed several times that this was a for a free stay. The lazy river was also pretty dirty. One night they held a quiz night for people to scan a QR code to all play together and it was a kids quiz? Like literally about kids movies so that was odd since this is an adult only resort. Room service food was the best out of everything there."

"We did a 5 day girls trip and opted for the upgrade to Serenity Club. The upgrade was totally worth the extra money, so if you are waffling, go ahead and indulge. The room with swim-out pool was fantastic. Our Butler, Gabriel made sure we had everything we needed, including cream delivered to the room for my sister-in-law's coffee every morning. The cons: the food. We tried 4 of the restaurants and did room service one evening. Only 1 of the restaurants made us happy and that was the Mediterranean restaurant. We are not picky eaters, we just enjoy really good food and most was blah. The breakfast buffet was always very good, so we started everyday with a good meal. The pros of the resort outweigh the cons and I will book this resort again with no hesitation. Excellent vacation!"

"The hotel is beautiful, just like the pictures. The staff is very nice, helpful and respectful. The food good. I couldn’t get to the beach due to the massive sargassum bloom which also cause a very bad smell in the entire lobby. Other than that, me and my husband enjoyed our weekend at AVA. And plan to return with our kids."
