"Only major warning and complaint I would have is the hotel front desk charged a "deposite" on check in I thought nothing of it because its an international card. Luckily I was meeting someone who lives in China and when they found out they immediately got a refund. It was explained to me that deposites are not something that is done. Other than that all other areas of service were beyond excellent, the breakfast buffet was fantastic every morning, and the view of the lake from a room that overlooks it is spectacular."

"i stayed here for a visit with friends and was happy with it. the hotel is clean and comfortable with surprisingly large rooms. it's more of a group-tour hotel with lots of tour buses around - but good value for a comfortable room located near some of the major sights in Dali. The breakfast was very good. I'd recommend it for someone who wants affordable comfort while exploring Dali."

"I stayed in the Suite at Hotel Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town, and it was truly remarkable. The traditional courtyard is gorgeous, quiet, and feels like a peaceful haven—yet it’s just a 5-minute walk to everything in the ancient town. The suite itself is top-notch: comfortable, spacious, and beautifully designed with local character.From the moment I checked in, the staff's warmth and hospitality were incredible. Unfortunately, a bad hit of altitude sickness meant I was in no condition to enjoy the room or the property the way it deserved. I had to cut my trip short and head straight back to Singapore.You really see what a hotel is made of when things go wrong like that. Instead of hiding behind fine print, the front desk team stepped up with real empathy. They waived the remaining nights of my suite on the spot and promptly confirmed the cancellation for my prepaid booking with Expedia so I could get a refund. If you want genuine, heart-led hospitality in a great location, this is the place to stay. I will vouch for them anytime, and whenever I make it back to Lijiang, I’ll be staying right here."

"It was a good stay for us, the room was clean, staff very friendly, but if you are a non smoker, there's second hand smoke in the breakfast area or common areas, which is typical of most properties as the staff smoke. The breakfast is suited for Chinese travelers, so if you are accustomed to a western style breakfast, you won't find it here."

"Very well organised and thoughtful hotel. It provides free simple take away breakfast 5am-7am if going out early and free simple afternoon tea and supper 9-11pm everyday. Some snacks and drinks are free complimentary inside the room. The staff is very helpful and polite. One thing needs improvement is the drying machine inside the freezer laundry room is extremely slow. Surprisingly it takes more than 10 hours to dry clothing."

"Hotel Staffs and Mangers are very nice, when I checked in, they processed very efficiently. The room is very clean, they even provide shoe mitt. Breakfast is excellent, many delicious dashes, all you can eat buffet. The hotel located in center of Kunming, Metro is nearby, a luxury shopping center just a few minutes walking distance, very convenient for shopping and fun. There is Tuo Dong sports complex nearby, I did my morning run over-there. Very happy experience in this hotel, I will definitely go back to it again, strongly recommended to everyone."

"place looks beautiful! we booked a suite with one bed room! it is a one bedroom house with yard! the place looks very nice! however, the back yard door is open from outside, people can come to house inside yard from outside this back door!"
