Charming Spacious home

Great location with little private beach being an awesome perk. The house is huge so staying with a big group was not a problem. It had old Tahoe charm with all the right newly upgraded appliances. Would stay again for sure.

Such an amazing cabin!

Came to this cabin with a full group, including 2 children under 5, a dog, and various adults and couples. The cabin was very spacious and had plenty of room for everyone. We loved the vibe of the cabin.. giving an old-school cozy feel, but with updated amenities and lots of space. Check-In and Check-Out process was super easy, we had literally zero problems, and had a great experience!

Wonderful!!!

Another wonderful stay at this beautiful home. This is the third year I have rented this home for our extended family. Very spacious. We find if someone wants quiet time there are plenty of decks, common rooms, and bedrooms to get away to read, nap, etc. When it’s time to get together with everyone, the family room, kitchen, eating area, separate dining area, are so inviting and allow us to have a wonderful time. Fireplace is wonderful(bring your own wood). I now have two young grandsons under four, so the fact that the indoor hot tub is in its own separate room on the lower floor, is great to use and is kid proof. Also, the fact that the home provides a kids gate that can go on the top of the stairs is a wonderful feature for us(it is really well built). So obviously we just enjoy this home and the fact that we have use of the private beach is wonderful. As far as other amenities we utilize are the small shopping area, which includes Safeway, a great Dollar Tree and a wonderful café that serves breakfast and lunch. And of course, the Tahoe nightlife is within 10 minutes. Highly recommend and hope you enjoy as much as we do!!!

Lovely weekend get away!!!

Spent the weekend in this beautiful home and I must say it was a great time. The house was very clean and stocked with pretty much everything needed.plenty of room for everyone to move around, very quiet and peaceful with lots of fresh air and the sound nature. We went on a few hiking trails that were very close to the lake to view the sunset and sunrise. If you’re looking for a beautiful time away this is the place !!!

Disappointment

This rental was a disappointment and complete bait and switch. It was once a luxury home, but the maintenance isn’t there. There was vomit in the driveway, the hot tub was dirty, cold, and loud. The fireplace had no wood, and the gas didn’t work. The baby gate above a long flight of stairs was broken, our blind dog fell to the bottom. All the pots and pans are scratched and unhealthy for food. We left after one night.

Great private beach

This rental had plenty of room for our family vacation. The property was not up to par from other properties we have stayed in. It was aged, dusty and in need of some modernizing and refreshing. There was no information binder in the unit so with every glitch we had, it was necessary to call. It accommodated us all well and we had a great family vacation. The private beach was the best amenity by far!

Spacious home with access to private beach

We loved the space of the home. We were able to fit three families with children. A lot of areas to sit and socialize. We loved being able to walk to the beach in the evenings as it was really close. The hot tub was a big hit since we travelled the weekend the thunderstorm hit which ruined our beach day. The home seemed to not have been cleaned dusted before our arrival. The floors were dirty/dusty, the couch was also dusty, there were many cob webs so I am not sure if it had been sitting unused for some time. The beds were all uncomfortable. We travelled with toddlers and were able to block the staircase with chairs, however, we would have loved to used the baby gate available but it appeared to be broken. The bear proof trash box was full so we were unable to place our trash in the box. The checkout time is way too early (10am). This did not allow us time to make breakfast for our children and pack up, as well as clean up. I am not sure if it was the home owner or the person cleaning the home but they arrived at 9:45a.m. asking if we had cleared the home. Thankfully we were already exiting but felt rushed when we still had 15 minutes.

Not a typical Zephyr Cove House

Book if you are not looking for amenities to be working. This thing just had one thing after another, hot tub doesn't work, dishwasher doesn't work, running toilet, twin beds are short and the supports seem broken. This place needs a lot of work.

Dated needs facelift

Overall I would say the pictures are deceiving to some extent. Knowing that it is a rental it is showing it's age. Deck off back of house needs work, (deteriorating boards). Kitchen... Sink faucet questionable, Garbage container/cabinet front door was off we had to put back on track, Pot and pans for the most part need to be replaced (scratched teflon). Dishwasher takes 4hrs to was and does not seem to heat dry. Batrooms electrical outlets were out on arrival had to call to find bad circuit breaker plus they are well used/worn. Master Bdrm was good others were ok. The Hot Tub on arrival was not adequately filled and was making a lot of noise, also had so much chlorine basically not usable. Garage was nice to have. Recycle garbage can in garage was completely full on arrival, Hugh can so I assume it had been filling up for months. We were there for 5 nights so we made due but think the for staying there was high. Need to refresh a number of simple items plus.

Love this house!!! Second year in a row we have stayed here with family and friends, with ages 10 months to 64. Lots of room to have privacy or wonderful decks and main rooms with lots of space for enjoying time with everybody together. Wonderful location, Private beach is easily walkable or driving down to with provisions. Shopping center with a Safeway and the best Dollar Store. We’re able to get a lot of paper plates, cups, very inexpensively. We were relaxing and enjoying the home so much just last week that we did not even make it down to the casinos, which are very close by. Looking forward two our week up there next year!!!

Needs some love

This property is in a fabulous location. Love the fact we could walk to private beach. Lots of space. However, for the premium price we paid, it needs some attention. The house shows it is only there for profit. There is little pride of ownership. Needs a good spring clean - windows, blinds, cobwebs, doors, baseboards, decks. Handle from dresser came off in my cousins hand. Carpets are trip hazard and corners are turned up on every end. Baby gate on stairs is more of a hazard than help. It is difficult to get through as you try to go down stairs. Drop ceiling panel in spa area fell on one of the guests. Hinges on door from spa to deck are coming out and door scraps. You have to lift door to close it. bed skirt in downstairs bedroom needs be replaced. If owner doesn't want to make this place sparkle they need to charge less.

Spacious Vacation

We were a group of 5 couples and the house was plenty big and had a lot of charm. We loved being able to walk to the private beach. The living area was large and perfect for our group to hang out at night and we also loved the hot tub. There were a couple of things that could be improved. The grill did not heat up to a high enough temperature to cook food, so on our last night when we had planned to grill we had to make all of the food in the kitchen. The kitchen is not very well stocked or organized. Clean sheets were not left out for the pull-out sofa bed. We found some sheets in a closet and when we opened them up a bunch of sand fell out. Luckily we were able to find another pair of sheets in a different closet and wash and dry them before we went to bed the first night. The cleaning was not great. It is clear the cleaners do not clean underneath any furniture or rugs. We lifted up the rug in the hot tub room to clean up some water, and it was absolutely filthy. There were also dust bunnies and random items underneath furniture indicating they did not bother to clean underneath them. Overall, we were satisfied with our vacation and the service from Vacasa and would rent with them again.

Beautiful Location and Comfy House

Love the Skyland community and access to the private beach. The house is large and accommodating. Some of the plugs/lamps didn't work but we were able to make it work for our needs. The spa was fun to have but it filled the house with a chlorine smell. Was better when you keep the door to that space closed. The screen doors are odd - only one side so I think some bugs got in but the kitchen, couches and deck were lovely. No hammock like the photos showed which disappointed one of our kids. Also would be nice to include a binder with restaurant suggestions, a map to the beach, WiFi info and instructions on how to access Netflix, etc. I missed the email that came while I was traveling that explained WiFi. Just seems like that info should have been displayed at the property. Regarding Netflix, we had to plug in our computer and screen mirror because I don't think the main TV offered it. Also wasn't a fan of checking in a distance away from the property. Would have been nice to have everything available upon arrival at the house but I understand contracts had to be signed. Owners definitely love dogs which is great. Loved all the dog-loving sayings. Sad about the rule of up to 3 dogs only 30 lbs each rather than 1 60 lb dog. We couldn't bring ours because of that which didn't make sense to me. Also frustrated that there was no flexibility for early check-in or late check-out but I understand management is limited by staffing conditions. Haven't decided if we will stay there again or not but it was nice for the 4 days we were there! Thank you.
