Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel von der Begrüssung bis zur Abreise super Wohl gefühlt. Herzliche Begrüssung, sehr hilfsbereites Team überall. Alle Wünsche erfüllt und immer sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Dies ist genau der Service den wir uns immer erhoffen. Wir hatten 2 Junior Suiten mit Sicht aufs Matterhorn… traumhaft…Hotel via Lift erreichbar. Traumhafte Sicht über Zermatt und das Matterhorn… Vielen herzlichen Dank für den traumhaften Aufenthalt, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder… 5 Sterne Plus aus unserer Sicht 👍

It was just a perfect place. We had the room with the Matterhorn view and just waking up everyday with it was amazing . We also stayed at another hotel but was not AT ALL as this hotel. Don’t miss out! The ski lifts are 2 mins away and a ski rental place right on front! Exceptional!

Fomos super bem recebidos desde o momento que chegamos na estação de trem, no qual o hotel dispõem de veículo próprio para realização de transfer da estação para o hotel. Fomos recebido pela a equipe de recepção do hotel com bastante cordialidade e atenção (Nos foi oferecido um chá gelado de boas vindas). Uma das funcionárias da recepção nos acompanhou pessoalmente até a porta de nossa acomodação. Ao entramos no quarto fomos surpreendidos com um belo bilhete como o nosso nome escrito a mão de boas vindas e algumas frutas. O quarto é maravilhoso (limpo, espaçoso, confortável e com uma bela vista para a montanha). O restaurante do hotel é espetacular (recomendo o Menu). Tivemos que sair do hotel as 05:00 horas da manhã, horário no qual o hotel não tem iniciado os serviços de café da manhã e transfer para a estação de trem, porém, fomos supreendidos pela iniciativa da Ana que acredito ser a Proprietária ou Gerente do hotel, no qual disponibilizou um veículo as 05:00 horas da manhã para nos levar até a estação de trem e também uma bela cesta com frutas, sanduíche e água para que pudéssemos nos alimentar antes de sairmos para a estação de trem. Tal atenção tida conosco foi de tamanha grandeza que não há palavras que possa expressar a qualidade deste hotel para com os seus hospedes.

A Wonderful Start to our Swiss Vacation

It was a super lovely hotel. From the welcoming at Zermatt Bahnhof, the exciting tunnel leading up to the hotel, freindly staff in Reception and Breakfast place and to the cozy junior suite with swiss alpine decorations, every single details represents the excellency of Swiss Hospitality. Should we return to Zermatt on our next trip, we shall definitely go for Petit Chalet Schonegg

Very good staff and excellent location.

We recently had a fantastic 4 nights stay here. The staff were super friendly, informative and accommodating. Our room was great and very clean. Only downsides on our whole stay was our double room had two separate mattresses and one of them was uncomfortable. However I wasn’t too fussed about it. I’m sure if I’d have mentioned it, the staff would’ve changed it for me. The spa steam room could’ve done with a little cosmetic work applied to the peeling paint and broken lights. Overall though an excellent, well run hotel I would happily recommend.

Perfect view of Matterhorn

Hotel staff (esp Christina) went above and beyond to help during delays due to avalanche, arranged hotel in nearest town until transfer possible! The hotel is in a perfect location, staff incredibly welcoming and helpful, room spotless, amazing view of the Matterhorn!!! Will visit again.

Exceptional hotel with over-the-top service

The Petit Chalet Schönegg was an exceptional hotel with over-the-top service. The reception staff impressed upon us that our satisfaction was their utmost priority (thanks Christina), the hotel owner personally made his time available to us to recommend various paths around the Matterhorn and after long days the restaurant had truly incredible dishes (do not pass up the tartar), a great setting, calming views and the most incredible service (thanks Rosa). Suffice to say, we were pleased with our stay and plan to be return guests.

The very best

We've been traveling in France, Italy and Switzerland for a month and have stayed in 9 different hotels. Hotel Schonegg was the very best! It was better overall than hotels for which we paid two times as much per night! Our room in the new section of the hotel was spacious, modern, full of amenities, and had a panoramic view of Zermatt, the Matterhorn and surrounding mountains. The dining and reception areas are beautifully decorated and the food (both breakfast and dinner) were exceptional with fresh, locally sourced foods. The "express" elevator down the hill made it easy to walk to the Main Street in Zermatt and the walkway from the Main Street up the hill to the hotel gave us the exercise option. The staff are helpful, friendly and gave us great recommendations on what to do and see as well as where to eat in town (Nadia, we loved Say Cheese!). Every morning at breakfast a Hotel Schonegg newsletter was on our table with the weather report, stories and history of the area and suggested activities. I couldn't be more pleased with Hotel Schonegg and believe it's the best view and the best hotel in Zermatt. It ought to be five star!
