The location is great, rooms have fans and the common areas were great. There is only one bathroom and shower on each floor- so I had to wait a while to shower, even checking the other floors.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. Great location for sightseeing and shopping and eating. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for travelling close to the trains trans and buses. It was an old place though so you have to embrace that as it is far from perfect with a shared bathroom and shower. Having said that I’d stay there again!

I’ve stayed here before. It’s a friendly and basic hotel. The room was small, but enough, and the hotel is well placed in Zürich. The best thing is the relatively good price.

Everything about this hotel was spectacular. Most of it is a hostel with numerous amenities. We appreciated the kitchen with coop refrigerator, common area, the hair dryers, ear plugs (yes, perfect location, but it was hot out-so windows open), bedding was so comfortable (we had an en suite), cleanliness and most of all the location. Doesn’t get any better. Walking distance of central train station, tram station right out the door, Old Town and numerous restaurants, cafes, shopping.

This is an interesting place to review, it is a lower cost hotel in the downtown region of Zurich, but it was worth every penny! The location is amazing, we had an awesome view of the river, backing right on to the Old Town and just minutes walk form Bahnhofstrasse. Some rooms have shared bathrooms, there is no A/C, but the charm and the staff made up for everything with us. We would stay again, but maybe be aware in the height of summer.

BEFORE YOU BOOK READ!!! Reviews are great for this place but even discounting my total screw up in not reading the amenities list for this place there have been some things that could be much better. The place is staffed only for parts of the day and if you need a towel or something after 7pm I have not figured out how to find one. The common shower area is usually a mess at times you want to use so you have to clean up wet used towels belonging to some stranger before you can use. No AC which is not uncommon in Europe hotels but airflow is not ideal in all areas of the property. They provide oscillating fan but on 95 deg Fahrenheit day with 80 plus at bedtime this is not the place to stay. Great location though

When I have done my booking I did not realise there are no toilets inside the room, only a sink, toilet are in separate rooms by the stairs.However, if are doing a quick trip and spend more time outside and just come back to the hotel only to sleep LIKE ME this wouldn’t be an issue.
