First and foremost, this is a 2 bedroom apartment and only 1 of the rooms is available. The other is the owner’s bedroom, so this is a shared space. The owner smokes, but limits that to the balcony and I didn’t notice any smoke odor in the apartment anywhere. So, staying here is a bit like staying with a friend of a cousin. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. The washer/dryer must be reserved in advance as they are not private but used by the entire building. The cost is 1 Swiss franc per hour for the washer. Geoffray provided laundry detergent. The kitchen seemed well equipped though I only had breakfast there and Geoffrey cooked the 1st night anyway. The building is quiet and lovely views from the balcony. If you’re taking the tram or bus,they are a short walk away BUT you have to walk up quite a steep hill to get to the apartment, so if you have issues walking up hills, be aware. If you’re driving, there is street parking and you can park in front. The tram is close and super easy to use and will take you to the main train station near old town in about 15-20 mins. Geoffray recommended a restaurant near him, though I went to the wrong place but had a great Chinese meal anyway! Grocery store etc are near tram, so there is the hill to climb up if you have groceries. Geoffray offered to pick me up from the airport when I arrived (paying him instead of an Uber), which gave us an opportunity to chat and stop at grocery store on the way so I could get br
