We enjoyed a panoramic view of the Bodoc mountain, very beautiful the resort, good food and comfortable room's the only complain is with the reception team that didn't informed us of a cycling tour that was passing in front of the hotel exactly in the day that we were checking out. 「After arriving at the location, had to call and wait 10 min. for a person to come and open it. The advertised 24/7 front desk is by phone only. The pictures advertised are from another location. They don't have a restaurant, only a location for special events. No A/C on the first floor room. Not any kind of hangers for towels or support for toilet paper. No toiletries except 2 small round soaps. No slippers available. For the price it is a total rip off.」

「Beautiful surroundings. Many activities to enjoy. The food was outstanding. My wife and I both had interesting massage experiences having had hundreds of massages. Out therapists did a good job, but never have we had a therapist stay in the room with us while we undressed and dressed. They always step out of the room for privacy. That was awkward. There was also no hot water in our room for bathing. 」

You eat in the main house (breakfast/dinner (30euros 3 courses), so if you are staying in the lower house (a complex of 6 rooms with a lovely garden and the option to use the sauna and hot tub for an additional charge) you need to walk 5mins for food. Extra activities include making chimney cake, bear watching, tour of Castle Kalnoky. We did have a car so drove to Varghus gorge for a lovely walk to see the caves (cost 50lei car park). NB if...

「Castle Daniel was an amazing experience! The property is very well-maintained, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The meals were very good. The staff were all excellent, and recommended several great activities nearby (including visiting the Suto family of artisans, and visiting Kalnoky Castle.) The best part, though, was the spa. The pool was long and pristine, and the jacuzzi and steam room were divine. We can't recommended Castle Daniel enough!」
