「It was a terrible experience. We arrived at the hotel at 8:30 AM on 10th April for check-in. The receptionist was extremely rude from the beginning. The first question he asked was whether it was an online booking. When I said yes, he asked us to wait without any explanation. He then asked how much we had paid, even though all the details were already available in the booking confirmation. We were left standing for more than 5 minutes, and he didn’t even have the courtesy to offer us a seat....

「The room was relatively clean. Just minor things here and there. There was some random string and fabric from a previous guest under the bed. Staff were very kind and arranged a taxi, helped unload and take your luggage up. The guards at the front also provided some peace of mind about safety. 「I liked the spacious room, the almost floor to ceiling mirrors, minimalistic decor, the simplicity of the rooms and the restaurant staff, delicious breakfast, the doormen, and the locals and the location of the property. What could have been better? Aircon failed after powercut, with an improved power backup, the situation could have been resolved.」

「The condition of the hotel was very poor. They have a ac restaurant that doesn't serve food. The equipments in the hotel room was old and in bad condition.」

「Appalled by what I saw, mold on the walls, dilapidated rooms with absolutely no amenities. Checked out within an hour, didn’t get any refunds and to boot took Expedia’s commission as well. We should get back all of the money. Surprised Expedia gave them 3 star rating. If there’s a rating below zero that would be too kind.」

「KPS resort is a brand new facility with currently only six rooms and the rest still being built out. I stayed for two nights during my temple tour of southern Tamilnadu. The facility is beautiful and is very close to Kumbakonam. Rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. The staff are terrific. The price currently is unbeatable and may not last once it is fully built up. I strongly recommend this resort.」
