Photo showing the varied terrain (mountains, hills, plains) and land uses (residential, farming, water reservoir) of Isle of Man. This view of the south central portion of the island includes the town of Foxdale, Mines Road, Kionslieau Road, and Kionslieau Reservoir. The camera is located along the A36 Road oriented toward the northeast. Foxdale is a village in the parish of Patrick.

Swan nesting on Kionslieu Reservoir The reservoir was originally built to provide water for the waterwheels at the Foxdale Mines. The water appears blue to the right of the photo: in fact, this is a thin layer of ice.

Foxdale Deads. The toxic remnants of the mine spoil heaps are used for motorcycle practice, being conveniently sited by the main road through Foxdale.

We had a great stay! Tim was easy to communicate with, the house was clean, and as other guests have said - the photos don’t do it justice. The bedrooms are good sizes and we had everything we needed. My daughter appreciated the tvs with access to app subscriptions. The hot tub is huge, very relaxing. ...
