“The hotel (Mount Vernon Hotel and Event Center - no longer exists under this name) has changed management and did not allow us to stay. They said they could see our reservation and were willing to cancel it, but it was booked under a previous management and they did not allow any pets, so we could not stay with our dog. “The owner canceled on us one hour before we were supposed to be there. The house was flea infested. We did get a full refund. But I had to book a hotel at short notice and nobody from hotels.com or the person that I rented from felt obligated to compensate the difference of the hotel room I had to book instead of the house I had set up rent. I spent many hours on the phone because I had to cancel through hotels.com and the company called Evolve. The people I talk to at evolve felt they were not……
