“Great location with close proximity to the beach (walking distance) and old town Fernandina Beach (short drive). Large pool with an outdoor bar area. Hotel room was very spacious and clean. Hotel staff were very friendly. Overall a great stay. Couple of hiccups. Upon check-in, the credit card reader would not work. After trying multiple times, finally went to the adjacent terminal to put my credit card on-file for incidentals with success. This took about 15 minutes. After driving 4 hours you……

“The pullout sofa mattress in my room should be replaced due to cleanliness. also the mini fridge was horrific and barely kept anything cold. Along with the fact, you could hardly get anything in there. On the day, they were to clean my room and make bed. All they did was leave some fresh towels. They did not make the bed or replace my coffee. I had to call down to front desk. They finally brought it up to me and only brought me decaf coffee and 2 cups with no creamers or sugars. “For a premier location and price this Hampton was a huge disappointment. Room was old, worn out, sink and tub did not drain well, kitchen area was old, dishwasher was falling out of the cabinet, and hallways looked like something out of the ‘80s. I’ve stayed in dozens and dozens of Hampton Inns over my work career, but this place ranks as the worst. Location is amazing on Centre Street where all the action is, but take my advice and find another hotel or inn.”
