“The Fairmount is an interesting place. The old building has been nicely renovated, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is attentive. The layout is odd, with no real reception or lobby area to speak of. The location is great, close to the River Walk, but construction was going on in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, making access complicated. They had valet set up which was helpful. The rooftop bar and on site restaurant are great amenities. ”

“Great crash pad for a big group, great location for downtown or the alamodome. Neighborhood is a little rough and noisy and the house is pretty old, but it's decebtly maintained and serves it's purpose fine at a reasonable price.”

“Frustration with a required high parking fee without an option for free parking. Wasn’t as clean in the common areas as we would have liked. The decor was dated and clearly old with some pretty bad wear on it. There is so much potential to be a great resort, but they don’t take the necessary next steps to be in the next level resort category. We enjoyed our stay and were appreciative of the comfort we had, but it just was missing something. ”
