“Went for a family vacation in May. Even though it wasn’t high season we were very happy with our stay in Lake Placid. Hotel staff was helpful, smiling and caring. Room got cleaned as we simply asked for new towels. We had really good hotel service. Great location. Everything was at a walking distance from the hotel. The Mirror lake so close to the hotel brought a really calm atmosphete. Free and easy access parking was also kids friendly. Room was fine and clean. Bad point is the AC was very……

“We loved the Hotel Saranac. It is a beautiful old hotel located in the downtown area just steps away from shops and restaurants. Be forewarned, the rooms are small, but filled with charm, well appointed and very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant is very good and well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.”

“What an amazing place to stay , it’s absolutely beautiful and clean clean clean !!! There was not one spec of dust , dirt , grime anywhere !!! The corners of the floors and baseboards are spot free which are areas my eyes see especially in bathrooms, this place was spotless !!!! View of the mountains no matter which room you were in . Stayed in suite 8 which had the full view of the little park , and the most incredible view of the lake . I certainly appreciated how quiet the hotel was , we did……

“Unique location, lodge and rooms have character. Quick drive to whiteface mountain. The restaurant has a good vibe and was packed on Saturday night. Kids liked the game room. Staff was helpful when we needed some extra service in the room. ”
