“I would have rated the hotel stay excellent EXCEPT for one thing and it was irritating...the elevator nearest our suite was OUT OF ORDER. The walk from the only working elevator was LONG....to the lobby, to the hot tub, to the restaurants, to the Biltmore....FIX IT! I would definitely ask if I was to ever stay with you again!”

“Gourmet breakfast and mid-afternoon cookies or other sweet treats were amazing! Friendly staff, but did not replace room with fresh washcloths and hand towels each day. My husband had to call and get some from the main house upstairs. (We were in a room that wasn’t in the main part of the house.) Loved sitting on the front porch swing! ”

“Bathroom shower was not safe for older adult. Very slippery tub, nothing to hold onto getting in and out of shower. On second floor so could hear people above us. Room was like a great apartment. Downtown location was wonderful, but parking was 1.5 blocks away with tight parking spaces.”

“Loved this place & its quirkiness. You definitely need to notice the fine print which I may not have fully but isn’t a true B&B. However, there are plenty of free breakfast continental items and specialty coffees and teas for your enjoyment. Self service what you want and how ever much you want. Snacks and drinks always available. Saw a staff member 1 time in almost a 2 days; however, the modern & convenient text service works fantastic!! I did have to use & got immediate responses. So you feel……

The Abbington was a well maintained property, the hosts were wonderful, the rooms were great and the breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely recommend this B&B to our friends.”

“At the time of booking a bed-and-breakfast I thought that breakfast would be included and be prepared by cook. But I got breakfast in a bag in refrigerator to take to my room. If I would’ve known prior to booking the bed and breakfast I would’ve not to stay there.”

“We could not recommend highly enough. Willy and Shoney are great hosts. Three-course breakfasts were amazing. Homemade cookies set out as take-aways every day. Free glasses of wine on the porch in the evening. Wonderful live music included on Saturday night. On-point advice about what to do around Asheville. All in a beautiful and historic home. I don't know what they could do to make it better. Just a fantastic place to stay.”
