“We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. “Upon rival the hotel clerk at the desk checking me in was not very helpful then they had a convention going on so that made the hotel very busy. My TV didn’t work when I first got to my room my sheet had a stain on them so I tried to call downstairs to the front desk. No one answered, so I had to walk down to the front desk when I got there I spoke with the same lady who seem like it wasn’t an issue and that she would just send someone up there to check. They have no designated smoking area. The……

We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and were offered a complimentary upgrade as well as some chocolates and a card. The staff were so nice and thoughtful. We loved the peacefulness of the redwoods and the garden nearby. I wished we had had more time to spend than one night, but we’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the area!”
