Druid Cottage is a cozy and charming 200 year-old renovated farm cottage nestled in the heart of County Clare. Its welcoming atmosphere and the tranquility of its rural setting creates a peaceful retreat after a busy day of adventure. Also the High-speed fiber optic broadband internet makes it ideal for remote workers,

Enjoy scenery of rolling hills with hiking trails, Bunratty and Knappogue castles, the Burren National Park, Lough Derg and part of the Wild Atlantic Way. Limerick and Galway cities are also within easy reach, just under an hour from the cottage.

The cozy interior features a mezzanine bedroom with a rustic ladder and a comfortable double mattress, while a double pull-out sofa in the main room offers an alternative sleeping arrangement.

The kitchen is stocked with essentials like tea, coffee, and condiments. Seasonal organic vegetables, milk, cheese, and yogurt are available from a nearby organic farm. .

Laundry, for your comfort the machines are installed in the nearby out house. The wash is free but the dryer is €7 per load. The cottage is equipped with an outdoor clothes line and indoor drying rack.

Friendly outdoor cats Mizu and Grace roam the property adding to the homely atmosphere.

Note that while the cottage lacks a TV, it offers a truly nature-focused experience, perfect for those looking to disconnect and unwind by the wood burning stove which prefers the compressed wood logs available locally.

The combination of comfort, rustic charm and proximity to the scenic beauty of County Clare, makes it an unforgettable getaway.

Perfect cottage with everything you need!

We didn’t get to stay as long as we would’ve liked, and at the same time-Wow! What a great place in a quiet location. It’s decorated so cozy and had everything you could need for a short or long stay. Thank you, Stephanie-for sharing your piece of heaven with us!

Great stay at the "Druid Cottage"

We stayed here for 6 days and it was wonderful. The cottage is super cozy and has everything you need. The communication with Steph was perfect all the time and she was always helpful. The cottage is a bit far off in the nature so you'd definitely want to have a car for your stay. It's a 1- 1 and 1/2 hour drive to different touristic places like Cliffs of Mother, Spanish Point etc but I would recommend everyone to visit the cliffs of Kilkee, because it is much more beautiful and not that crowded. All in all a wonderful cottage with a wonderful host. Thank you Steph 😊

Lovely and charming little cottage

Love it ! Very quiet, clean and peaceful place in the middle of the country, beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was there. The flowers in front of the cottage are beautiful and it was very pleasant to eat outside when the weather allowed it! The host, Stephanie is very nice, kind and caring. She helped us with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We had a lovely stay in this beautifully appointed cottage (right down to an excellent set of knives for cooking!) From the lovely interior to the stunning gardens this was a delightful stop. Suzanne is an excellent host with a great knowledge of the area. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or just a place to unwind and relax--this is it!

A Little Gem

This little cottage is within easy distance for day trips to many towns and attractions. It retains an old world charm while providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. As an older couple, we were unable to make use of the bedroom area but we used the bed settee, leaving it made up throughout our stay, and still had plenty of room. The single track roads in the area take a bit of getting used to but are easily negotiated with a bit of patience. Stephanie, the host, was very friendly and informative about the area, offering suggestions of suitable places to visit. Thank you for helping make our visit so enjoyable!

Slice of heaven

Was like a delightful step back in time. Peaceful! Loved the countryside. Local cows became friends. Learned about using turf in stove. We loved it! Very easy to start! Stephanie was wonderful and made some reservations for us as well as providing turf for our first night when stores were closed. Lovely village!

Relaxing Stay

This is the perfect place to get away from everything. Quiet and serene. Stephanie is a pleasant and amenable host. She gives you complete privacy but is readily available if you need her. Very knowledgeable of the area. I'll be back.

Zeit zum Wohlfühlen

Der Aufenthalt im Cottage war trotz des regnerischen Wetters traumhaft. Das Häuschen ist äußerst gemütlich und freundlich eingerichtet. Auf Details wurde viel Wert gelegt, was zur allgemeinen Wohlfühlatmosphäre beigetragen hat. Gerne hätte ich eine längere Zeit dort verbracht, denn ich lese gerne und kann mich gut allein beschäftigten. - Das das Häuschen etwas abgelegen liegt, eignet es sich besonders gut für Rückzugstage. Weniger als Standort für viele Ausflüge, denn die Single-Track-Roads sind gewöhnungsbedürftig. Besonders nett und zuvorkommend ist die liebenswürdige Vermieterin, die nebenan wohnt und es versteht, sowohl die notwendige Nähe aufzubauen, als auch Distanz zu wahren. Ich würde dort sehr gerne nochmal zum Relaxen verweilen. Gerne im Regen.

Enchanting Cottage Tucked into Clare Countryside

My Husband and I stayed at Druid Cottage for three weeks in October and could not have hoped for a more charming, relaxing hideaway. The space is very cozy, with many thoughtful details. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials, so it’s very easy to prepare meals making use of the fresh organic vegetables from the farm stand across the quiet country road or the fresh dairy and eggs (all from Glendree Organic Farm) just a 3 minute walk from the cottage. There is a sweet cat, Smudge who lives on the property. She is very cute and friendly, and we enjoyed visiting with her and the host, Stephanie. The location is great, as it is out of the way enough to be peaceful, but only a 10 minute drive to Tulla, where you can pick up grocery essentials, fuel for the wood stove, or grab a pint. If you are looking for more of a city vibe, Ennis is just 30 minutes away and Galway is just over an hour. Due to the location, you will definitely want to have a vehicle. Stephanie provides detailed info on walking trails and fun historical sights all around county Clare. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We can’t wait to come back and visit Stephanie and Smudge soon!

A beautiful place to stay at

The cottage is located east of the burren but within easy driving range (~30min to the Burren, ~60min to the Cliffs of Moher) it is an absolutely great place for relaxing, and the host (Stephanie) is really great and very friendly. We really enjoyed staying there and we surely will be back. The peppers in Feakle offers great live music and good food including breakfast.

The perfect place for a quiet week off the grid

This small cottage is like a cozy refuge to get away from every-day life. It is so quiet out there, you almost won't believe it. And yet (if you have a car) you can get into town in 10 minutes. Being quite central in Claire County, it also can be a good starting point for day-trips around the country.

Druid Cottage

This little cottage FAR exceeded my expectations. It was an absolutely perfect location, and made a great ‘home base’ from which to explore the area and take in the traditional music for which East Clare is so well known. Wir waren zu zweit für 4 Tage im Druidencottage und haben den Aufenthalt absolut genossen. Das Cottage ist liebevoll eingerichtet und besitzt alles was man braucht. Steph ist sehr zuvorkommend und lieb. So wartete schon ein wärmendes Feuer, nach einer längeren Anreise, im Cottage auf uns. Ihre Tips, sei es für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung oder außerhalb waren einfach goldwert. Die Umgebung ist friedlich und wunderschön, wie beschrieben. Auch die (tierische) Nachbarschaft freut sich über Besuch und ist sehr aufgeschlossen und für einen „Schnack“ zu haben. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
