My husband & I, 3 teen children & Sister enjoyed Edward the Hut for a weekend. My 2 Sons were attending a gaming conference in Atlanta & my Sister lives in Georgia. So we booked this property as us adults are “salt of the Earth” type folks. We enjoyed the property & all of its eclectic charm. Two thumbs up.

We had a great time. The cabin was perfect for our family. Enough space to be really comfortable. Nice cozy cabin. . Our kids really enjoyed the fun bunk bed area and ladder. The upper bedroom was very nice for my wife and me. The only odd thing was the shower was on the bottom floor and unless you wanted to take the ladder up to the 2nd floor, you will need to go outside. As the temps were in the low 40's it was a refreshing trip up to our room.

This home was so unique and every time I moved I noticed something different. I had questions about what things were, how they were gotten, why they were there. I was wanted to know the stories behind the details. Everything was perfect!

What a lovely, unique property! It was my husband and I with 2 teens. Kids loved the ladder from the bunks to the second floor and the hammocks. We loved the outdoor tub and shower, cool spaces overlooking the woods. And we all loved the kitchen, down to the all of jars of spices/staples, retro looking appliances and antique utensils. I am very eccentric and I loved all of the details. What a peasant surprise!!! The kids are asking when we can come back. :D

If you have physical challenges, this may not be the place for you. From the sliding board as an option for getting your luggage down to the home- you could use stairs-to the pipe and wooden ladder affixed to the bunk beds which gave access to second level, this was a wonderfully quirky and endearing property. The outside sign says, “Hippies welcome”. That kind of explains it all. The bathroom is not on the same floor as upstairs “primary” bedroom so that could be a challenge for some. However, the wonderfully stocked kitchen with a swing out window and the outdoor shower were perfect for us. We will return. I am 65 and workout daily. I had no problem climbing ladders- ( which is optional), stairs etc. we enjoyed hiking at Red Top Mtn State Park which is very close by.

I’ve seen where the owners said they were putting in a spiral staircase. If they had that and a washer/dryer, I would rent ‘Edward’ for the entire month of June for our baseball tournaments we travel to Atlanta for. Aside from that, the home was the most unique, tranquil, beautiful, relaxing VRBO we have ever stayed. We way over packed because the owners provide you with literally anything you could need! And allow use of their herbs and spices, tons of trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, everything most VRBOs don’t stock up on for you. (We still used our own mostly because we felt bad.) We were there 4 full days and I still don’t think we saw 1/4 of the pure uniqueness within. The views were amazing (especially waking up on the top floor each morning). Just really can’t say enough good things. (Definitely not for anyone with trouble with stairs, though.) 10/10 recommend!❤️❤️❤️

Great place, good location and Wi-Fi. You are in the woods, but very close to the store, restaurants and the rest of civilization. Especially desirable for those with climbing skills because you have to climb up a steep lather to the kitchen or for folks like me (more heavier) walk on outside deck down to the kitchen. Upstairs room had the best bed and fantastic view of the forest.
The best part of the house is the outside shower and bathtub. You kind of feel like one with nature. My only complaint is that the kitchen and bunk beds room were too dark. Not enough light for me. Also the welcome sign outside was a little too spooky for my nerves.
“Don’t worry you are already dead” Taking into consideration that the first think we saw was a rattle snake in the nearby bushes ( NOT in The House)
the sign had some meaning.
The owner was great! We got a new coffee maker and the kitchen was full of different kind of snacks and condiments.
Best part yet we saw many species of birds, and the Bandit raccoon a nightly visitor. We caught him stealing the birdseeds.
Overall the house in itself is an adventure. Miss the sounds of nature already.
