The very rugged Hajar Mountains of #Oman, near-ish to #Tanuf. I started driving up the #rocky road in my notoriously unreliable Jeep. I realised I had no idea where the road was going and I was only getting further from civilisation, so reluctantly turned back soon after this shot was taken. #LifeAtExpedia #TroveOnTuesday

Have you heard of the remote village of #Tanuf, #Oman 🇴🇲? I’d be very surprised if you had - it was bombed to #ruins by the British Royal Air Force during the Jebel Akhdar War in the late 1950s. The remains still stand, as a rather #spooky monument to that little-known conflict. #LifeAtExpedia
